The buff/debuff on her 1 is random too. On the passive meter, next to the shape is the icon for what it will apply. Matches with the color of the ground effect
Baba yaga's passive also gives her stacks for Charon's coin and other niche items like Hide of the Urchin. At full passive you get two stacks of Charon's coin
@Mast For Baba Yaga 1 ability, the color of the targeting shape (and the little shape and its color to the right) are indicators of what the 1 will do. Purple Cross Swords Silence enemies, Frosty snowflake lowers enemy movement speed, off-white shield boosts friendly protections, and white boot boosts friendly movement speed. The field lasts for 4 seconds. I think the one drawback is you can't change the shape or effect, so you may not always have the best option for a given fight, but we are kind of just firing it out for the damage during a fight anyhow?. For her 2, the random ingredients are Eye of Newt (each increases potion damage by 7.5%), Wolf tooth (each adds 7.5% attack speed), and Dragon scale (each slows enemy movement by 12.5% for 2.5 seconds). It's so convoluted and honestly, who has time to look and see what the combo of ingredients is in the heat of battle -- you can't change it, so who really cares right?
Just wanted to say this game was wildly entertaining. The Ganesh martyrdom in the beginning, the Arachne instakill, the accidental Heim kill right at the end, all perfect
The ingredients of the potion appear both under the potion icon of her passive AND around the potion Baba's hand. There are five ingredients in every potion, each of these ingredients can subsequently be of three types: an eye (Red - +7.5% Additional damage), a scale (Blue - +12.5% Slow for 2.5s) and a fang (Green - 7.5% AA speed reduction and power reduction for 5s). To quickly determine what is the prominent ingredient in your potion (in case you forgot what potion you had stored in your item slot) you can simply look at its color. The ability can be absurdly good if you're lucky enough since the aforementioned effects stack with each ingredient. Since you can store one potion in your item slots, this is one of those ability that it's definitely worth casting whenever you have some downtime just so you can take a peek at the ingredients you got and eventually store it if you just happened to win the lottery.
Baba Yaga’s 1 and 2 are both random in all parts, the 1 can be like… 4 shape’s, 2 L shape’s going opposite Directions, a Y shape and the Oval, while the effects are Slow, Silence, Prot Buff and Move Buff, The 2 picks a random assortment of ingredients, up to 5 at max rank, that can be stored and thrown later, the parts do more slow, more damage, and an Attack speed/power reduction
Also forgot to mention this but Baba Yaga’s Ult is the Highest Scaling and Damaging Ult in the game, at least from what I remember, and it’s not even close
I think baba is my favorite god in smite. If the 1 is very hard to predict for the enemy since you don't know which one she has. It allows for some fun hits. The 2 potions are also fun to use. All of the extra effects are somewhat noticeable but not necessary to play her successfully
I actually love baba so much ngl. And the 1 thing I constantly see when people actually post videos on her is that they don't store their 2 enough. When you have the mana for it you should be storing it on cooldown there is literally no reason not to
I posted a few videos ago about how excited I was to see some baba gameplay! Goddess above and below, how are you so good at this whole videomaking thing? 10/10 exactly what I wanted in my life right now.
I don't pay super close attention to Baba's potions, but I do try to make the one that takes my item slot red. That way, I have a backup damage potion.
I literally went Baba for the first time last night for unlocking her Avatar and now I see this :') I built the same too (except I got coin 3rd but honestly gem's probably better for the cooldown)
"Not complete garbage," just the #1 hottest EU SCC pick. :D Really, I think we're in possibly the most late game meta ever, which is something that really suits Baba, her late game damage output is completely absurd.
Id say it makes her one of the best snowballs at the very least. You are almost ALWAYS going to have your spike first. Which i assume is why Hi-Rez wanted her abilities to be a bit less hard hitting to compensate. A sort of trade off of early game strength to late game, i guess.
2 getting stored on double tap is so troll. I've stored 2 so many times when I've wanted.. no NEEDED to throw a 2 and been spamming it to get it as soon as it comes out.
it's not based on the shape each shape can have any effect but the effect is random as well. Which can kinda suck as a movement speed L or slow L isn't as good as it bein an 0. You got all the buffs/debuffs right but there's 4 shapes. 0, L shape goin both ways and a Y usually 0 is best but Y goes a bit further an is nicer when at a distance, but really they're super niche. Like maybe you get a movement speed or slow 0 an can fight a lil better in that small area or a silence that'll give you maybe a quarter of a second silence ( an interrupt at best really) unless they get CC'd right on it. But yea you said it best, she does damage, meant to do damage, unless you're super sweatin with ya bois tryun to make sick plays no need to put any brain cells into it. It'll be just as helpful with randos throwin em randomly as they would tryin to make their rare moments be the decider for a play or not.
