This is among my GOTY's. I usually give preference to unique games or games that put a unique twist to existing formula, as I believe that's how the medium will go forward.

If you understand why a key only opens something that's "closed" because it has the rule "open" and not because it's a key, then you should be able to figure out why the nature of the object doesn't matter with the "shift" rule.

I wish I could pay a quarter of the price for 50 puzzles. The mechanic is interesting, and I really like the aesthetic. But in my experience I get over games like this (puzzles, low-character/story, whatever) within a few hours.

It's understandable that it's hard to get a good handle on; the game is entirely simplified programming logic statements. I definitely couldn't get through it either, studied that stuff and just couldn't wrap my head around em

Hello there. I just wanted to comment to let you know how incredibly good your channel is. I stumbled onto one of your videos last night, the Mass Effect critique. Never thought such a long video, for a game I never had any interest in, would keep me so sucked in. Great writing and narration dude. Like the best of best for video game stuff.

Hmm I feel you should check out Blaster Master Zero/2, since you seem to be tackling Indies. Hyper Light Drifter is another strong recommendation.

@@Umbra_Witcher I mean that I feel like this is better made than The Witness, which got way more praise for puzzles that were way less inventive. The Witness pretty much only has better graphics, but I guess that's one of the biggest ways to become a big commercial success

This feels like a late April's fools. But only because I thought it was a Joseph Anderson video and he is incapable of admitting a game is too hard or should have an easy option
