Baba the best of the best. My brother James played with him. I only seen them perform twice. It was spell bounding. They actually put your mind and soul in the natural environment. Great Performer. Very pleasant and loved people. A true God send from Nigeria to America. Great gift from God. Love you Baba James' sister
I was at this show. I never experienced anything quite like the DoP set. We went deeper than deep, and higher than Andromeda. Simply stunning. I was about 30 feet from the stage, right in from of Baba, wave when you see me.
I recorded this show off the radio. the interview with him was wonderful. I'm still trying to find a copy of it. I would love to hear this whole set. Thank you for the music Baba!
Thank you for posting this video. Like many people, Babatunde Olatunji was my first introduction to traditional African music & dance. I included this video & examples of comments from this thread in a post on my cultural blog. Google Made Up RU-vid User Names In Two Olatunji Comment Threads That post showcases the video & also documents the use of made up names on RU-vid, a practice that may not last for much longer. Thanks again!

Please grant permission to use a few bars from this masterful musical piece by Michael Babatunde Olatunji and the Drums of Passion, Ajaja. It will be used for educational purposes in a documentary called "44 DAZE" about Trayvon Martin. ssuttles939@gmail.com
