Nakakagigil ang ganyan senaryo, akala ng mga immigration officers sa kapwa Filipino walang kakayahang mangibang bansa. Napaka discriminated ng ganyan klaseng tanong.. Dapat bayaran ng immigration ang nasayang na ticket dahil sa walang kwentang procedure na puro kalokohan ang mga tanong na wala naman kinalaman sa pag alis ng byahero. Kaya nailalagay sa pinaka worst airport sa mundo ang NAIA dahil sa mga immigration officers at iba pang airport staff.

The immigration officer who questioned hee for so long should be held responsible for her wasted plane ticket..It is obvious that these immigration officers only want to make money from these innocent passengers.

My sister and I experienced this as first time travelers out of the country. We were asked too many question despite giving them proof and answering everything then these two Immigration officers who were questioning us that time looked at each other like giving signal or whatever then the next thing happened was we were held at the office. The officer there looked at our travel papers and passports after waiting for 30 minutes just to be told na "oh ok na 'to bakit pa kayo pinapunta dito?" we were almost left by the plane! and I was so pissed off kasi it was pretty obvious na the first two immigration personnel were power tripping us just because we look young and they were mocking our reason for traveling kasi we wanted to watch a concert outside the country. I can still remember that female officer telling my sister na "manonood lang kayo ng concert? Nagpunta na yang mga yan dito eh nahawakan ko pa" and so? We have the money why do u care and that's so unprofessional of her na invade nya yung personal space nung artist just to brag and mock us.

it happens to me also with my friend ..bound to bangkok kami..our flight is 5.30 in the afternoon...my friend got excited so we arrived at the airport around 1.30 p.m luckily the airline counter opens at 1.40...then when we proceed to the immigration we're hold by immigration also for 2 hours....I think the main reason is because we both don't have a job...It's actually a travel sponsor to us by our generous friend....good thing I have a copy of my latest bank statement where I can proved that, I can sustained my travel to bangkok.....

Nakakahiya talaga ang airport natin, napakaunprofessional and magnanakaw yung mga staff. Kelan magbabago yang management nila

Had a similar experience. Waited for 2 hours at the immigration and was finally given the permission to board. I asked the IO kung paano ticket ko for the next plane, since nakaalis na yung dapat na sasakyan ko which was not even my fault. I was so naive to have felt kind of hopeful that there would be a consideration na baka automatic na makakasakay ako sa sunod na flight without paying for a new ticket since ang sagot sa akin ng IO ay pumunta na lang daw ako sa office ng airline dahil sila ang naghahandle ng ticket. I asked the officer a few times kung sino magbabayad and iisa lang ang sagot nya lagi na pumunta na lang ako sa office ng airlines. I ended up paying around Php 45,000 for the next flight to the Netherlands. Kung pwede sana unahin na lang nilang iinterview mga passengers na malapit na ang schedule ng flight. They can be systematic and do their job if it's protecting us from human trafficking para hindi din unfair sa mga naiiwan ng plane after nila bigyan ng permission to board.

Sue them and demand compensation.

When I was younger and vulnerable, they offloaded after speaking with immigration officers on 2 consecutive occasions on 2 different airports..It wasn’t fair and I blamed myself. I did not stand my ground and we did not even think of complaining about it. I went home and just cried for being not allowed to travel. This still causes me trauma facing immigration officers even though this happened 10 years ago.

to ask if her parents were together or separated, asking if she's got her yearbook??? how is that relevant? dapat yang immigration officers na yan ang magbayad ng plane ticket!!! this is bullshit.

Same experience. Kung ano ano pinagtatanong nila hanggang sa maiwan na ko ng plane. No choice i have to buy another ticket. These people have no empathy. They should be punished severely.

I think GMA can make a full documentary experience regarding this matter. Recently I have read numerous complain about immigration in the Philippines. This is very alarming.

Nasayang isang araw sa five days na travel ko dahil sa paghold sakin ng IO at tanungin ako kung may emailed ticket ako kahit may pinapakita na kong printed ticket. Imbes makapagtravel at makapagbakasyon ng maayos stress lang inabot ko. Nagastosan pa ko dahil sa pagbalik balik sa airport for another flight. Nakakadismaya halos magdadalawang buwan na lumipas pero ramdam ko parin ang pagkadismaya at pagkabwiset sa immigration sa T3.dapat balasin at palitan ang sistemang bulok sa Immigration. At dapat dapat bayaran nila ang mga nasasayang na pera ng mga tao dahil sa ginagawa nilang delay.

Nangyari din to sakin on the way to HK. Hindi ako umabot sa boarding dahil sa tagal ng pag question. Pero since nandun na mommy ko at di talaga ako papayag na hindi maka sanod sa kaniya, nag book ako ulit ng next available flight and pumila ulit sa same IO. Nagulat siya kasi may pambook ako ng ticket agad agad kasi alam ko naman na nang mamata sila ng mga passengers. Parang yung frustration nila sa buhay at trabaho nila eh sa ating mga pasahero binibigay. Oo we get it na trabaho nila yan pero sana maging fair at reasonable naman. Lahat ng kabayan natin may karapatang lumabas ng bansa para ienjoy pinag hirapan nilang pera.

Umuusok galit ko sa nangyaring to, wala yatang matinong tao dyan sa airport kung ano-anong kademonyohan ginagawa dyan dapat sa mga yan tanggalin lahat sa pwesto nang matuto.

I encountered one going to the UK 4 years ago. I was the only one amongst the roster of 8 nurses in my batch who were first timers overseas for work na tinanong nang bongga. This Immigration Officer asked me for contract and some other stuff. I just told to my colleagues after the questioning, porket ganito itsura ko ganito ang trato sa akin. I felt discriminated but at the same time nilawakan ko na lang yung pang-unawa ko that maybe they are just doing their job. Saka one tip, look them eye to eye. Show them na wala kang kinatatakutan para di na sila masyadong maghinala. Just recently nung pauwi ako from my connecting flight to Abu Dhabi, parang nabastusan ako sa pagtatanong nung lalakeng Immigration Officer dun sa babae, naawa ako para syang sinermunan with a rude attitude. While discussing the scenario with my Dad, he just asked: Sa tingin mo kaya kung mataas na personalidad yan ganyan din kaya ang nature o tono ng pagtatanong nya? Just a share of thought.

Philippines government, please kindly trained your immigration officer to ask basic and proper question related to their destination. Don't place the Philippines in the worst airport in the world because of your improper questioning procedure.

Matagal ng ginagawa ng mga Immigration Officers sa mga Pilipinong aalis ng bansa, napakawalang puso ng mga yan, di ba nila alam na pagkuha palang ng visa pahirapan na, mahabang paghihintay, daming gastos tapos maiiwan lang ng eroplano dahil sa mga IO. Sana naman may gawin din sila sa mga IO!

Until now pla ganyan pa rin ang sistema sa Immigration. Back 2013 had almost the same experience with my friends, dinala kami sa maliit na opisina tapos pinaghiwahiwalay kami at tinanong ng kung anu anu not related sa flight namin kung ano birthday ko at ng mga friends ko, if we really know each other. They even check each our phone and FB account and photos, if graduate ba at my work na ba? They also ask us each about our pocket money if how much and where we got it, we already wrote it in the questionnaires. But still I needed to show it pa to them and one of my friend even count it in front of the IOs. Pero higit sa lahat aabangan daw nila kami pagbalik namin ng Pinas. Muntik na kami maiwan nun ng airplane. I've experienced immigration in other countries but really only here in the Philippines I felt discriminate and disrespect.

Dapat yang mga opisyales at lahat ng empliyado ng NAIA ipasuri sa Mental hospital kasi hindi na yan Gawain ng matinong tao.. lagi na lang nila ginagawan ng problema ang pag alis ng mga ofw.

I had the same experience in year 2013 when i travelled to SG. The IO asked for my alumni id because he was not convinced I was a graduate of the university. I showed him my Id but still he wasn't convinced so I suggested for him to check online where he could probably find my name as one of the graduates of 2007. Then he asked for my parents' job and when I told him about my father's profession, he again voiced out his disbelief and another IO even mocked me saying she was a graduate of "the rival university" . I was kept on hold for at least 2 hours. Thankfully I went there early. I don't know their protocol but really.. it wasn't at all professional.

Also experienced this when we were going to singapore a few years ago. Hindi ako but my sister was asked a lot of questions tumagal sila ng 30 minutes sa isang room. She said they asked a lot of questions. I think kailangan ng mga to ng training and recording the conversation should be allowed to have a basis kung meron complaint para pag may incompetence or hindi ginagawa ng tama ang trabaho niya e pwede sya magbayad ng ticket. Ang mahal kaya, Pag sa pinas ka isang buwan mo yan mawawala dahil sa incompetence, inggit, power trip, corruption ng mga IO in the guise of protecting the citizens from human trafficing. Tapos sa video questionin ka kung dala mo yearbook are you kidding me! Nakakasira ng araw tong balita.

They're beyond ridiculous and unreasonable. Before the Pandemic, I was going to meet with my husband (we were still engaged then) in Vietnam. The same thing happened to me and ridiculous questions were asked. The woman even asked me to log into my Facebook account and show her pictures or posts of me and my then fiance. We're both Filipinos and employed. She even said "kung 'jowa' mo talaga to but wala kayong posts together sa Facebook mo?" Unlike other couples, my husband and I didn't (still don't) declare our love for each other on social media. Basta, they were unbelievable and it was a very terrible experience for me. And it wasn't even my first time na umalis ng bansa.

There must be thorough investigation and punishment afterwards. If I were that, I would ask the staff members who were asking me lots of irrelevant questions to refund my previous ticket since you missed your flight and ask their superior to give them suspension . What they did was not right. What if you are not loaded??? I feel sad for those who can't afford to get another ticket.

Magkaroon Sana ng pre departure interview ang B.I 1week before ng flight pra ma screen mabuti yung mga passengers na pwede O hindi pwede makaalis, para makapag prepare ng mga kailang documents sa pag alis at bigyan ng certificates or approval pagkatapos ng interview kung walang problema, pra di mauubos ang oras pagdating sa Airport at iwas ma offload, gawing optional muna kung sino ang may gusto

I remember my first time traveling in Singapore alone. Na hold ako sa immigration, the interrogation lasted an hour (buti nalang nag check in ako ng maaga). Tapos pagdating ko ng SG super easy and smooth lang. For first time traveler super nerbyos at nakaka trauma ang immigration dito saten. :(

Nakaka walang gana umuwe ng pinas pag ganyan, at kawawa ang mga gustong mag abroad. Grabe talaga kayo jan sa airport sa pinas, pang world class ang galing.

Nangyari sakin to. I was just going to Vietnam. The officer asked for my company ID. Pero bakit ko daldahin ang company ID ko sa Vietnam? Grabe mga immigration officer dito sa Pinas. They were not even talking to us professionally. I felt not only discriminated but also lost trust and hope with our system.

Just a tip.. as long as you're sure na complete documents mo, make sure you're confident to answer them and make sure to question them if they are asking nonesense questions or documents... Isipin mo na ikaw ang customer nila and they should serve you not the other way around. Pag ramdam nila na di ka intemidated sa knila, mabilis lng.... Sample. 1. BI: anong gagawin mo sa ibang bansa . Me: maglalakwatsa.. 2. Bi: sure ka bang babalik ka ng Pinas? Me: oo. Andito work ko at buhay ko. Taga Pinas ako, bakit d ako uuwi... Dapat mag focus sila sa database and monitoring nila.... andyan namn records mo sa knila. Anong silbi ng passport, hotel bookings and other references mo kung di namn nila gagamitin.. Tingnan nila sino d bumalik after... Or do some background check later... Walang sense ung ginagawa nila... sayang sa effort...

Nangyari po ito sa akin years ago. In offload kami ng maliit kong anak pa uwi sa Thailand. Year 2013. Ask nila bakit wala ako return ticket pabalik pinas. Eh pabalik na nga kami ng Thailand at dun kami nakatira. Tawagan ko daw IO ng Thailand. May proof naman na dun ang residence namin. Long story short, naiwan kami ng eroplano. 4 booked tickets ang nasayang. Grabe mga ibang immigration officer sa aten. Sa pinas ako Kinakabahan pag dating sa immigration dahil pwede ka nilang di paalisin dahil wala lang!

Nakakabwisit talaga sa atin. iipitin ka talaga. I remember same scenario, ang tagal ng interview tapos pinapasok ako sa isang opisina tpos may pinahawak n folder at sabi wag daw ioopen. Dko alam kung ano purpose nila at pinahawak nila sa akin yun. Ang tagal ko doon naghintay at nagaalala na rin ako na baka maiwan ng eroplano or kung ano ang balak nila. Complete lahat ng documents ko. Ang yabang pa ng IO na ngiinterview mamaliitin ka pa. I just cant remember if its year 2010 or 2013

It happened to me, an worst the immigration officer was laughing at me like I was a clown entertaining him. And he even called the other officers, he was so amused. Fortunately the other IO was not at all with his fun, they looked pissed off with my IO and told him to release me. Qatar airways staff has to fetch me since Im the only remaining passenger left. I cried my eyes out from Philippines to Qatar out from anger.

They should held accountable.

Kung wala naman palang kasalanan pagkatapos ng interview, bakit hindi ni refund yung 19k ticket nya?... Plus dapat sila magbayad sa abala... Wag naman sana gamitin ang legal na paraan para magtake advantage. Mayaman o mahirap dapat maisauli ang dapat isauli at bayaran ang dapat bayaran ...

There’s so much stories in social media similar to this. i just hope that the questions thrown and documents asked will be relevant and is something that can be produced. Travelling with a yearbook is unheard of and graduating from college should not be the basis of allowing or not allowing someone to leave the country. What will happen to those first time flyers who just really wants to travel? Would it be better to just provide a list of documents to bring?

I had the same experience back in 2019. Was asked to go to another area for more questions. To my surprise, the 2nd IO saw all my credit cards and then asked me about their expiration and credit limit before allowing me to pass the border (immigration). And the remark on the incident paper was "Financially capable". I think it was the failure of the first IO to properly assess me. He should not be in the frontline bc I think he lacks the competence of an effective IO. Irrelevant mga questions nila at ang susungit pa. Kala mo mga kung sino.

Nangyare din sa akin yan.. Naiwan din ako dahil sa pagtatanong,wala akong nagawa kase diko alam san akomagcocomplain dahil nasayang ticket ko diko na refund. Way back 2016.sana malinis na yang mga empleyado jan sa Airport. Kaya kahit mag tour ka lang ang hirap lalo na napagtripan ka ng immig officer na hold. Pati sa check in luggage inaapakan nila pa simple yung weighing scale kapag gusto nila magpa over baggage ng pasahero. Alam ng mga empleyado gumagawa niyan sinasabi ko di nila maitatangge sa sarili nila. Kaya kayo patimbang niyo muna baggage niyo bago kayo pumunta sa Airport para alam niyo dinadaya kayo sa luggage na ichecheck in. Dapat talaga magkaroon ng direct complain desk para sa mga ganyang case lalo na jan s airport.

Similar incidence happened to me during my trip to SG way back. The IO wants to offload me but I requested to speak to her Superior which was the right thing I did. The truth is some IOs are arrogant and they make their own rules. How will other Countries respect Filipinos if those corrupt people in positions don't respect them to start with? The incident also made me pursue my immigration to Canada. Now I can travel in every country I want including Phils. without the hassle of dealing with these arrogant IOs.

I had the same experience. I traveled alone and its my first time. They asked about my work, who my boss is, they called my co-employees just to check if naka-leave talaga ako. Hahaha. They even took my phone para tignan mga messages and pics. Meron naman ako return ticket and hotel bookings. Buti nalang i confidently answered all the questions. Dapat talaga ready ka. That happened to me too! Na off load ako sa Flight ko dahil sa mga immigration officer na kung magtanung parang criminal Ang Tao na lalabas ng Bansa. Yan ang mahirap dyan sa immigration. Ang ate ko kasama niya pamangkin na bibisita ditu sa uae isipin mo kasama ang sponsor lahat ng documents naibigay na ang hinahanap affidavit of support eh hndi naman mag issue ang embassy kng hndi immediate na kamag anak at hihingi pa ng resibo ng dummy ticket. Ako po sobra laki ng gastos ko..first time ko mag travel going to malaysia,laki ng binayad ko sa ticket at galing pa ako sa probinsya..may rountrip ticket na ako.then,may confirm booking hotel na din ako..grabeh ung gastos ko nag hotel pa ako kasi galing pa ako province..at maaga pa lang nsa airport na ako..pero ini offload ako agad ng immigrition..at sinabihan pa ako na kaka uwe ko lng daw galing dubhai tas magbabakasyon daw ako agad sa malaysia...sobra ung ang completo kana sa requerements...pero ayaw ka lng tlga pyagan kasi katulong lng ngng trabaho...at wla na pla karapatan magbakasyon kahit 5 days lang...kaya sobrang iyak ko sa airport.lahat pinapatunayan kona..ljat ng activities na pwdng gawin..nka ready na...kya nasasayang lang ang pera ko sa wala...
