Mirza Hameed ullah baig or un ke family bht rich thee! Patti Town k sath nodar and Daddar village thay jahan par mughlan de zameen thee!

Maybe but there could be several possibilities as in tarantaran region during millitancy many brahmin and khatris hindus became keshdhari but new generation is again mona. I am not sure. Otherwise in old times also many khatris were sehajdhari and kept dari and kesh but remained hindu. Or maybe his family is sikh now, Dhami sab can tell. He mentioned his family went to yamunanagar for phul parwan in yamuna river, but sikhs mostly go to goindwal sahib or kiratpur sahib for this, they may still be hindu

@@k.r.s.s9013 a very valid point....during militancy it was common among hindus in predominantly sikh majority districts to grow beard and Kesh to avoid attention from the so called "kharkus" .....Tarntaran has only about 8% hindus. Anyway hindus and sikhs are like flesh and nails.

@@k.r.s.s9013 since yamunanagar has popped up....you know most of the chamb refugees were settled in yamunanagar. Most of them are hindu jatts or punjabi speaking sanatani jatts. Had been to yamunanagar last year for some work ...Pata chala there exists a jammu colony so this is how I came to know about jammu ( chamb) refugees being settled there. My driver was one of them his name was chaudhry abhay they just write chaudhry but his got was Randhawa

​@@chandankumargantayat8926 Yes even i met a Hindu Bajwa from Ambala who came after 1971. Many chhamb hindu jatts also have become sikh recently because of marriages with sikh jatts

@@k.r.s.s9013 yes hindus and sikhs jatts intermarry in jammu division. Marital pool was the reason jatts of doaba and sialkot immigrants of 47 gradually became sikhs as thosedays both the faiths were considered one. My father says during his childhood sikhs very rarely used the word hindu they would say mone. In jammu politician Vikram randhawa is a noted hindu jatt leader, the biggest gangster of jammu chaudhry nagar singh or nagar sandhu is a hindu jatt. Other than jammu and una district of hp, there is almost half a million strong hindu jatt population in western UP they are called pachhade jat they moved there during famine of late 18th century and they still converse in punjabi among themselves and all of them are hindus only 10% or so have become sikhs in last few decades
