ive done this race before, and shes not wrong this time. anything other than the t20 cant really make it, especially from the checkpoint half way up the tube
It's so nice to hear how much Osie has come into her own on these episodes. It feels like she's getting comfortable telling stories and making jokes/ bantering and she's constantly making me laugh
if I ever have pasta sauce with peas in it, then I really want orecchiette because they are the perfect size and shape to hold a pea in the little hollow
This is exactly what we’ve all been waiting for! A conversation continued! Time for this semi-cohesive mess of a conversation to be continued while we all scratch our brains on how they got to certain topics!.. and probably go back to the video afterwards. Also, can I just say I am in love with the livestreams on the channel? It’s so nice having an extra bit of content. I find it hard to either get into the Yogscast livestreams or find a time and place to start watching. The colony streams have been a good midpoint and I’ve loved the lives so far!
I grew up in hillbilly country. My grandparents had... basically a second living room mostly used by the grandkids when we were over. And the carpet in there was all just samples. They were just about the right size for each of us to have a personal bubble when we were playing NES or watching a movie or w/e
I like the wheels with pesto, they go with pesto, also, as an italian, my whole family hates al dente, it needs to be soft and melt in your mouth, rubbery and it's too long, al dente and it's not cooked. conspiracy theory: restaurants spread the idea of al dente being good to let them cook it for less time without complaints.
I guess I'm weird but I much rather wait until a show finishes and then binge it. My memory is shocking so I prefer to be able to watch it all from start to end. I recently finished rewatching Breaking Bad (I watched it like 10 years ago but forgot most of it) and I watched it all from start to finish over about two weeks, watching 3/4 episodes at a time every day and it was way more rewarding, it was all more fresh in my memory and I didn't have time to calm down after a tense moment between episodes etc. I know they are paced differently but you'd never watch a film over the space of 12 weeks, watching it 8 minutes at a time, it'd really take away from the experience.
Apropos of nothing, I started watching "Cunk on Earth" recently and I can't stop picturing Bouphe as the presenter given the accent. It's making a funny program even more hilarious.
I'm sad to hear wheels are unanimously the worst as someone who's favorite pasta shape is wheels. To be fair, I say that but I don't think I've had them in literally 20 years, I just have a childhood fondness for them lol. Pretty sure my dad just told me they were the best one day because he already promised me mac and cheese and realized we only had wheels left so he had to convince 4/yo me to eat them.
My parents once got me "party hat" pasta. It was two circles topped by a cylinder... It was a gift when I was 8 or so, so my innocent brain couldn't see anything but party hats. It was dick pasta.
I gotta be honest- on the topic of binging vs weekly episodes, I’m on the fence so I came up with a weird way of going about it. I’ve gotten to a point in watching anime where I cannot, for the life of me, find new things that interest me. I’ve watched over 280 different series and I’ve kinda gotten sick of waiting 3 months to just binge it in a day but it’s very annoying being left on a cliffhanger. I came up with the method of watching half of each series by the mid season mark of the anime being aired. Ie, a 12 episode anime, I will binge the first 6-8 episodes or the first Arc/setup for the series and just wait the remainder of the time. This has SAVED me from not being starved of my taste in anime and the itch I get every other week or so of wanting a new anime. I suggest anyone who had the same plight try out this method as it is helping with time and scratching that weekly or bi-weekly release.
I'm hurt. The wheels are my second favorite. They are very very easy to overcook, you really have to use extra salt in the water when you cook them, but they're great once you get the hang of it!
I like listening to Yogscast and more generally british people talk about food. It makes me feel like a fine chef or maybe that critic from ratatouille.
I think radiatori is the best pasta. It's sort of shaped like a wavy radiator or a heat sink, and it holds sauces better than any other shape of pasta.
There was a great Japanese contest to eat as much flour as possible in 12 hours. It was three teams: two competitive eaters, one chef and one competitive eater, and three comedians. If anyone wants to know what happens - I can't post it for copyright reasons but it's called Wednesday Downtown 2018-02-21 :)
From my knowledge, humans digestive system has been adapted in a way that chewing and ensuring food is small is best. We have smaller digestive systems than most animals, but need more kcals, but due to the use of tools and cooking our food allows us to absorb more nutrients. (in regards to eating chicken nuggets whole xD)
i always find pasta weird, it's basically the same ingredients but with different shapes, but people are mad at me when i tried to make lasagna using macaroni
Lasagne is a very specific dish and pasta snobs don't like it when you mess with it. Next time use all the same ingredients but mix them together and call it a pasta bake instead of lasagne and suddenly nobody will complain, even though it's essentially the exact same thing.
I think Netflix could release stuff in moderate bulk instead of all at once in order to get talking going still. Like they could release 40-60 minutes of a show each week. That way you get a bit of the binging experience without having to throw out a bunch of content that no one cares about multiple times a week. I say this because asking someone to take an hour out of their week to watch something isn't that big of a deal for most people tbh. At least compared to the 3-5 hours it'd take for most netflix shows.
I like penne pasta because its the same thickness all the way around, so it cooks evenly, I always find that the fusilli takes longer to cook because its thicker in the middle
I feel like the Yogscast are incredibly funny talented people and they have a full office if people but they keep making GTA and TTT I think they need to diverge because they have so much potential, and I don't think even they enjoy it that much any more
"Like a lobster!" It's okay Duncan, I appreciated the joke. I think some of my fave pasta is simple, yet legendary. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. 11:45 I think I'd try this. Visually... odd, but I'd def try it. I've never even seen or heard of this pasta. Those other two are.... I'm not even sure what the point of them looking like that is. They're really odd... but I'd still try them. 17:29-18:26 Oh no. It got cursed. LOL 20:31 This proves The High Ground will always win.
Up the cooking temperature so boiling bubbles push through the pasta and stir a little more often and it won't ball up it'll cook a bit faster though so you gotta be careful
I like the bellend joke... I understood it and also calling "it" that mes sense from the general shape, something I didn't think about before learning what it referenced
Thanks Yogacats! I took your 'Mungus idea for pasta, sold it and I'm now a multi-billionaire, as it's all the rage with the Gen Zers and shit!! You should have patented it while you had the chance.
To continue the pasta talk, I hate the bowtie pasta. Because of the twist, it's never consistent in chewyness. It's the reason why pasta like penne and spaghetti are superior.
I buy the McDonalds box of 20 nuggies on the regular and can eat the whole lot. I even did so the other day. ^_^ In terms of pasta; i like the shells as they act as little cups for the sauce.
@@vrrrrrr-uwu I didn't intend for it to be a top comment of any sort, but hey, sure. Lovely all the same, I suppose. See, I'm a trucker, so I don't actually WATCH the videos too often. That's what makes these GTA videos so entertaining to me.
I can not believe I clicked on a random GTA5 episode since I haven't watched in a while. I knew there would be a chance of not understanding the jokes due to how they record, and yet this is the video I chose. Thank you for the warning 😂
If anyone is interested I asked chatgpt: Design a new pasta shape that holds its shape and holds sauce easily. tldr: It made a traditional shaped pasta larger with more spirals and use flour that holds its shape better Answer: Introducing the "Spiraletoni" - a new pasta shape that's designed to hold its shape and sauce perfectly. The Spiraletoni pasta shape is a spiral-shaped pasta that's similar to Fusilli, but with a slightly larger diameter and tighter spiral shape. This shape allows the pasta to hold onto a significant amount of sauce, while the grooves and ridges in the spirals help to capture and hold even more sauce. To make Spiraletoni, the pasta dough is extruded through a special die that creates the spiral shape. The dough is made with a blend of semolina and durum wheat flour, which gives it a firm texture that can hold its shape even when cooked. The spiral shape of the Spiraletoni pasta also has a practical advantage - it makes it easier to scoop up and eat with a fork, as the spirals can be easily twisted onto the tines of a fork. Overall, the Spiraletoni pasta shape is an innovative and practical addition to the world of pasta, offering both great flavor and function. It's perfect for use in dishes like pasta salads, casseroles, and creamy pasta sauces.
