I remember when I first put on my glasses. My 5th grade year.. So 10-11 years of age. I remember for about half of those years why the world was haze like.. Like a thick cloud in my eyes. When I was able to see the world more clearly. I couldn't stop smiling.

I didn’t get glasses as a baby, but I remember when I was around nine years old and cannot see the board at school. My parents take me to the eye doctor and looking through the optometrist’s lenses I gasped and almost cried. I can only imagine what went through these adorable babies minds. It really is like a haze clearing on a sunny day 😊😊😊

I got my glasses at 1. Due to the macular eye disease that i have, my vision was very poor. My mother cried because she said it was like i hadn't seen her before that.

I remember watching an old Harold Lloyd movie where his character in a flashback was an 11 month old baby wearing glasses! At first I thought that it was exaggerated because I never before saw a baby with glasses. Then I saw a very young child about 1or 2 years old with glasses in real life! It saddens me that there are children who have to wear glasses that young! But I'm glad that it helps them be able to see.

People don't understand how serious needing glasses is. They're like wheelchairs for your face. Imagine growing up as one of these kids and not always having your glasses. Maybe you're poor or maybe just an active kid that always breaks and loses them. Without them tho, simple things like the facial expression from trying to see what something is can make others believe that you're having evil thoughts of attacking them. Stuff like that strikes fear into people. Especially if you're a bigger person. Adults think your some kind of tough guy with an attitude, girls think your dangerous, & if you're a nice humble guy, nobody would ever believe it until they got to know you. Keeping your head down to avoid misunderstanding makes people feel like you think you're better than them. Then when you're an adult & you decide to ware shades, people hate it because they think you're trying to be cool or you're hiding something so when they misjudge you. Now that's ok tho because "the eyes are the window to the soul". Smh. I've seen riots start because some half blind guy seemed like he was staring at some guys wife & ive seen a guy get police called on him because some hag accuses him of being a creep & looking at teenage girls when he can't even see past his own arm length. The other side of having poor vision is that everyone else sees you the wrong way because of it. They're willingly blind to the true you. Its a weird impairment that nobody respects. When you see a guy in a wheel chair with tiny legs, you automatically get it but, with really bad vision & glasses, everything is way different. Everything you see is bizarre, blurry, abstract, surreal. Nothing is ever clear except for feeling and energy.

How do they know what level of thickness a baby's glasses should be? I get adults going for eyes tests and pointing out letters on a wall on all that...

Yes, they are adorable, but sad at the same time that they need glasses at such young age. Hopefully it's just temporary.
