Had my first ride of the season with my 7 year old and my 4 year old is clamoring for any chance he can get to go for a ride. Haven't quite sold my wife on a side car yet.
That wheelie out of the hospital with a newborn cracked me up. Congrats to both you guys on your new babies. Many years of joy! Mines grown up and not in to bikes like I have always been and thats ok with me. As you have shown, they can be dangerous!
True story! In 1993, when my son was 4 years old, I took him for a ride on my Suzuki dual sport. He was on back holding on for dear life as we were ripping along on top of a levee. We came upon an unexpected large sink hole covered by grass. At about 40 MPH I had no time to react, and the bike did an endo! My son rode my back all the way to the ground and through my entire face slide! I broke a coupe of fingers, but barely noticed my pain as I was immediately concerned about my son. No need to be concerned; he was giggling uncontrollably and said "do it again Daddy, do it again"! I of course gave him the warning as we limped the bike back home, "do not tell your mother or you'll never be allowed to ride with me again"! Telling mom was the very first thing he did when we got home!
My Father was a Motorcycle cop. He would stop home while on the midnight shift and ride me up and down the street a couple of times on his Electra-Glide. All this while I was wearing my bunny feet pajamas.
As a father of a 15 year old girl who has never shown any interest in my motorcycles or ever wanted to watch MotoGP or WSBK with me, when she recently asked if I could take her out for a ride on my Scrambler 1200… well I immediately dug out my wife’s old riding gear and took her for a spin. We’ve since gone out a few other times and have had a blast. She’s been asking for me to teach her how to ride so perhaps a little 150cc dirt bike is in her future! Enjoy the time with your kiddos, as cliche as it sounds “they grow up so fast” is unfortunately very true.
I used to secure my daughter using a backpack with a chest buckle and waist buckle in front of me, in my 150cc motorcycle. Since that's the transportation I got to see my daughter, she was 3 years old when we started. Using a small size adult helmet,Sometimes she falls asleep and every time we are on a stop sign, people always asked if she is ok. back then authorities doesn't care much. If did that today, not only i get a ticket but probably get arrested 😅.As she grew older, my POV got more challenging. I literally saw my daughter grow as time goes by😢.now she is 19.
My nephew was five or six years old. His mother gave me a 1976 Hondamatic. He would sit in front of me, and I would let him hold the handlebars and the throttle by himself. Later, I found a minibike that he absolutely loved. He races in NASCAR now, while his brother is an engineer for Amtrak. I am proud of all of my nephews.
Y'all joke but no lie this was my childhood, my dad rigged up all kinds of seats to bring me along on everything, on and off road. Lolol Zachs "front row seat" was pretty much his setup 😂😂😂
@@kj385 they better gard the key's and or don't ever leave it running or untended+lock'd-in-shed my 1st wreck ( was under 4yo'd ) on a bike was a gold wing 80's or early-90's model and my parents decided to turn it into the family's dinner table lolz 😂 happened also with my k1500 2x and or fringe-climbing and running at mechanicals-shop+hursse old man didn't learn quickly enough 😉 i was probably strapped in the back bagger-seat but i don't really remember it well around pre-1999~ SLC-Utah cannons and free-ways etc, in my 30's/nowadays if there was more testing+airbags etc aka modern certification-usa-spec or euro-spec safety equipment and seeing ( some car/SUV drivers are terrible 😉 ) safer driving-others around the bike ( also parents need to be accountable aka no DUI's or something else's like that ) then i wouldn't call cop's/CPS but just telling/letting them hanging on top of the baggage/leathers no seatbelt+airbag's-etc
@IAmTheJManOfficialnot the same type of traffic pattern and speed as to those South East Asian countries with 4 to 5 family members on 1 scooter. Be careful out there sir. Kids grow so fast anyways you can slow down 😅
They grow up fast... So don't be afraid to go slow As a 23 year old who's not gonna be a dad ANYTIME soon, i still shed a tear ❤ Hands down the best automotive channel on this app. Kudos guys!
So, in the 70’s and early 80’s my dad had a CB750 and I grew up on the back of it. My mom decided it would be a great idea to get a 50CC moped to ride to work. The only hang up was that she had to drop my baby brother off at the setter on the way. Dad installed a folding bicycle baby seat they already had from when older brother was a baby in the 60’s on it. Every morning she strapped him all bundled up on it with almost 20 year old plastic straps to ride the couple blocks behind her. The things they did back in the day.
Ahhh, like a true American carrying out the age old tradition of ripping off your employer/government. You're an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work. And I'm not even kidding.
I’ve never had a great relationship with my father, but one thing we do have in common is loving motorbikes. This video hits the heartstrings as well as being beautifully produced and brilliantly witty! I have so much love for Zach and Ari and the whole Revzilla content department!
So happy for both you guys. I never wanted to be a father. Now that I’ve been a father since I was 42 years old, I couldn’t imagine my life without my daughters ❤
20:46 You're going fast down the track, really holding on, doing great. Then you're passed by a SV 650 with a car seat on the back... 😂 And guys, get bikes with sidecars, that way you can take the whole family for a ride.
This is my favorite episode yet. Just love the shot of them sitting on the curb. And the googley-eyes?! Laughing out loud the whole time. Heartwarming shots at the end. Congrats on fatherhood to you three. (Those teddy bear cacti are no joke)
Much love from India, having been a long time fan of Revzilla wanted to share my experience of picking up and dropping my daughter to and from school , please note , i do own a car , two scooters and a motorcycle . I prefer my scooter over all forms of transport for ease of ease , width of road , lack of parking infrastructure and time to destination, it is not always so straightforward as it seems. Btw my daughter rides with a helmet and jacket. Any much thanks again for all the lovely innovative content. Keep it rolling. Ride safe.
Been watching these fools since "On Two Wheels". Those 2 kids are going to grow up best friends with some cool adventures thanks to their dads! Well done guys.
I was an FAA licensed rigger...who flew jumbo jets for a living.I made a baby pouch for my 1 year old child. I made the pouch so he sat facing forward...sitting strapped onto dad's crotch...but sitting on the motorcycle seat. I was able to buy goggles designed for children. He road a lot of miles with his harness system sitting in dad's crotch on the Harley. I could even walk comfortably with my son in his homemade pouch. 0:09
I did something like this years ago when my car was in the shop and I need to go grocery shopping. I strapped my nieces old car seat to the sissy bar of my bike and then proceeded to park in one of the "parents with infants" parking spaces. The horrified looks of other shoppers when they saw the set up was priceless! Wish i had it on camera.
Thank you Zack and Ari, (and the production team) for always producing spectacular, wholesome and heartfelt content. You guys go above and beyond, and your videos are genuinely special. Thanks!
A friend of mine got her son a small 50cc quad at age 3 😄 He learnt it really quick, but when he then got a 50cc two stroke motocross at age 5 he was really scared of it. Both the sound of the much more angry two stroke, and the "training wheels" effect got the better of him. He then used a balance bike for some time and learnt to ride a bicycle, and then started testing the motocross! He's 6 and loves it!
I'm never going to have kids, and I still watched this video because I love how entertaining Zach and Ari are with literally anything they write. Top notch video as always, even if I'm definitely not the target audience.
As a dad, especially with a boy toddler, I found this video to be a love letter to the new dads out there who can't wait to share their passion for bikes with their kids. It was an absolutely hilarious video but the deeper message of being a dad really hits home. Top notch and even had my wife laughing and rolling her eyes!
The book Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, was basically about riding your kid around, and not realizing he’s staring at your back, till the very last bit… Lol…
I dont remember how old I was when I first got to ride around on the back of my dad's Harley, but my kid was 5 when i first started taking him places on my bikes. Once he had his helmet he started out in front of me on my dual sport, a year later he rides on the back seat of my old bmw. Its been great for both of us. He has his own little dirtbike now (he's 7) and loves it. The only real downer is when some busy body comes up and tells you "Thats so dangerous, I cant believe blah blah blah".
God, I love you guys, epic video and I wish you a happy life. I took my son down 30 meters on my e-bike when he was 7 months old and before we met first corner the transportation authority started yelling at me, by 9 months we'd be doing some distance as a family ~7km ~15kmh, by the time he was 13 months old she grabbed the kid and left me, never in life did I experience such pain, no broken bone or sickness came to 10% of it, now it's been more than half a year, still didn't get over, doubt I ever will and I got sick (I would say from the emotions), like never before, watching this makes me wish we still lived together... I miss the good times and my little boy.
As a father of a 5 year old and a 2 year old daughters I can say that they do grow up very fast. This episode had me in stitches all the way through and I would love to see more videos like this. Congratulations on you becoming fathers and cherish every moment you can with them.❤
I was two years old when my uncle took me on my first motorcycle ride. I burned my ankle on the muffler. I’m glad that Ari and Zack are both fathers now.
My daughter has ridden on my grom, 701 and in the basket on my trail 125. She has a fox mx helmet and her own kawasaki elektrode now. Riding with your kid is the best.
This has been done for real by Givi. It’s the Givi adjustable CHILD S650 seat and it’s sold in Europe. You can strap it down using the rear pegs and they sit on the pillion seat. You can buy them in Germany and a few other places.
Having my first born getting ready to move out while having 2 more little guys at home I totally get this .enjoy every minute with your boys .it goes fast
Fun video, raised our daughter and son riding dirt bikes in the desert starting on little 50's all the way up to full size bikes. My son still rides, my daughter doesn't but she has a daughter now and I have put my granddaughter on a little 50cc quad when she visits. Might start her on two wheels this summer? Yes, they grow up fast so savor every moment you can!
Love the fact you 2 are having such fun with this episode! I have raised all of my kids to ride, and looking forward to the grandkids learning as well! Thank you for this episode!
My little girl turns 6 this year, but feels like we brought her home just yesterday. Ari and Zach…cherish every second of those moments you showed at the end. Ride on 🤙
I started riding with my baby corgi when she was 7 weeks old. She started in a haversack inside my jacket then graduated to a homemade tank bag with windshield. My little corgi fit perfectly on the long tank of my cb550 café racer, she loved riding around town and on road trips.
I'm a born optimist too, so lots of love to the lady in the paddock with her little arm-circling, protecty thing. I'm sure that's going to go dandy when you're high-siding doing 100km/h. Awsome content as always!
One of my very earliest memories was sitting between my dad and the tank of his Kawasaki G3SS and going back and forth to Grandpa's house through fields and dirt roads. I was probably 2 or 3 years old. I'm not sure how we got away with it, even back then, but it's definitely a special memory. This video reminded me of those days, silly as it is
I love Zach and Ari. Their infectious enthusiasm mixed with batshit insane ideas is the best entertainment on RU-vid. Give them all the time and money, Revzilla!
Today I was rumbling through the coffee and banana fields of the Colombian mountains with my 8 year old daughter sitting on the gas tank of my Desert Sled. More than once I thought: there is nothing else I’d rather be doing.
From a Father that’s raised 5 kids, I’m now 56 years old, and I’m here to tell you that I’m 3 weeks he’s going to graduate high school. When going through it, it seemed like work at times, but having already gone through empty nest syndrome, I WANT THEM BACK! ❤
I lived 8 years in my wife's country (Philippines). Had the pleasure of riding my new born son home on the back of my motorcycle with Mama holding him. Also each day to preschool, kindergarten and elementary. Our motorcycles was our family car. My son and wife immigrated to the US when my son was 12 years old. My son never knew what if felt like to sit in a child seat. Thank you guys for the excellent content. Peace and love.
Was at AMP for my first track day and heard you guys filming the 21:00 recap while I was loading my bike. We talked for a little, the whole crew was so cool but seeing those baby seats out there on the track is something I'll never forget haha
My son rode on the back of my 2001 Yellow Goldwing to school (about 3 blocks) occasionally. He was in 2 grade I think (7). Amazingly moms/dads in cars didn't even blink at us as I removed his helmet and sent him off. Oh AZ (Laveen) BTW.
This was a great episode! Production quality is outstanding!Congrats to you new fathers, take Zack’s advice “go slow” as time passes too quickly. As a 57 year old father of two children now in their 30’s the ending made me tear up, I can remember like it was yesterday what you are both now experiencing. Spend as much time as possible with them!❤
My daughter is 2 and already thinks motorcycles are cool without really seeing me ride more than a couple times. I hope one day she'll be interested in riding with me or solo but... No rush 😊 Thank you guys for this, the ending had me tearing up with joy.
The best crazy video production so far Dads!!! My 13yo daughter wont even sit on my bike whnen its running but I used to go for heaps of rides with my son when he was young, and he's a biker now too!
"Dont tell Mom" , ah the majority fathers motto, certainly was mine lol. And maybe the premise for this video .. ;) Anyone else catch the "baby on board" on the back of Zachs leathers? Haha
Babies off a cliff, the spike through the head, the wheelies on the way home from the hospital...Had me laughing so hard. Always the best. What a great video.
