Best advice I got was don’t blame the baby. Like don’t say I can’t play with you now because I am feeding the baby. Say I will play with you in a few minutes, and maybe offer him another activity if that he can do on his alone.
I relate to you guys so much! My husband and I are 33 and 34 with a 1 month old and I have watched all of your earlier videos for tips. I’m also already feeling the pressure of the second baby because of my age and how close we would like them. Whew! It’s a-lot! I used to say I wanted 4 but I'm 32 now and still haven't been able to get pregnant so I'll settle for one naturally and one adopted. Congrats to yall again!
Love you all!! I will say that the second baby usually comes quicker. My first took 22 hours and the second came after only being in labor for 3.5 hours. We couldn’t make it to the birthing center and my husband and myself had to deliver by ourselves at home. My midwife stayed on the phone and came to my house to do all postpartum care. Baby and myself were just fine, but yeah that was crazy. Good thing I did a natural unmedicated birth the first time because I’m sure I would have freaked out.
Excited for you guys to expand your sweet family! I watched lots of your videos getting ready for my pregnancy last year and they were super helpful. Also, i get the birthday planning- my Julianna was born 2 days after my 30th birthday (on my dad's birthday!). She was a really special birthday present!

Omg the odd number thing is so relatable, my brother and I are the same way! I'm hoping I can have one more baby, 2 babies will make me happy, especially since I'm old and I'm already tired 😂 Honestly, the entire video with the toddler running around is absolutely perfect and I'm here for it!

To be honest, the transition from no children to 1 was so much harder than 1 to 2. Those major changes that happen when you have children have already occurred. So when we added a second we had to figure some things out but it was easier to get used to.
I'm very happy for you guys... I had a girl 1st who's now 5yr old and have a soon to be 4 months boy... my daughter had been asking for siblings since she could talk, but we wanted a gap due to childcare and work and buying our place in between. She didn't care was going to be as far as gender in the beginning, towards the end she was obsessed with having a sister so she was very upset at the gender reveal party but after 2 days she was fine and now she loves him so much...she is so caring and looks after him and gets involved all the time

I have three brothers and all my brothers were all early. I, the only girl and oldest, was the only one on time. My mom had all my siblings the night of the baby shower. She would have the baby shower and then that night she went into contractions but she had baby shower close to the due date. I was not excited about none of my brothers except the middle because the age gap between me and them are 7, 11, and 13 but my brothers are close.
My kids are 20 months apart and they are best friends and they are both boys. I will admit it was hard at first but now that they are older I'm glad they are that close.
I didn't have post partum pain with my 1st and only found out about it being a thing 2nd child onwards when i was already going through it. But it went soon enough, i just had to be careful with carrying heavy stuff. They say 2nd child is supposed to be quicker, both came quick (thankfully) but i was induced both times for the same reason although they were different methods. 1st time i was contracting every min for 2hrs until i decided to get epidural and then i felt a sensation where the epidural didnt hit when i was getting contractions so i was still in control of the pushing (2 pushes and my girl was out) 2nd time i was contracting for 5hrs but it increased gradually once I was dilated baby was out within 10 min. I felt more in control, was more mobile up until the time i went in to give birth, the sad bit was that because our daughter is older she was going to school and i was already at the hospital seeing labour was so quick it meant that my husband didnt make it in time because he was dropping our daughter to school.
My family is very similar to yours! My husband and I have a 16 month old son and we are 19 weeks pregnant with our second baby boy now! We’re due mid August. Where are you finding all of your fabulous maternity clothes? I feel like last time I dressed pretty bum-y most of the time because I was home during the pandemic but, this time, I would love some more cute but comfortable outfits like what you’re wearing in this video.
In terms of sickness and other symptoms I definitely suffered more 2nd time around... was sick all the time on 1st trimester, then i had dizziness on the 2nd then i was hungry all time on 3rd. 1st pregnancy i had morning sickness throughout and would throw up at least once a day but i felt fine overall and it went when i discovered gaviscon and it helped with heartburn and sickness in general. I was working full time 1st time around and was feeling better in general until the end. Definitely felt more in control 2nd time even though i was induced both times they both came quick and i didn't want to get epidural again due to back pain. Did feel everything but was not as bad as i thought it would be.
My son Legend is 12 months now. I'm 3 months pregnant as of tomorrow, I'm excited to figure out the gender. Already have a name 😁 Aaaah I love the Husband Daddy shirt. Moms intuitively know if they'll have a boy or girl but other people confuse us lol I had a dream I would have a boy when I was 12 weeks pregnant with baby 1. No lie, these babies are exhausting but the pandemic makes hiring a baby sitter or seeing family difficult. Husband and I ARE the village. I agree with B about even numbers, we don't want any lonely middle child either (I am one, no fun). We're sticking with 2 and Dad's getting a vasectomy because 1. not as nearly as invasive 2. not as nearly as expensive 3. not as nearly as DEADLY (ectopic pregnancies can occur with tied / burned tubes) and 4. vasectomies are easily reversible compared to the other one. I use Flo and Baby Tracker. I used to use Nurx but then I got my degrees, bought a house, and was ready for a family with my bestie. The pandemic JUST started when I got prego with the first eggo... Husband and I turned 30 last year. Same with zodiacs here, I really wanted a Libra... and I'm due Oct 4 of 2022. Woohoo! I got th epi too but post partum poops were a nightmare. I do NOT want to get induced either. NO. I will TAKE MY TIME. Because first time I ripped UP ALL THE WAY. I will take it slow and let my body adjust and any doctor who says otherwise will respectfully get ripped right back. That is all 🥰 There's a new pandemic variant (omi and delta) and it also crushes testicles... like, destroys sperm count and shrinks the, you know... Stay safe, love you. 2nd borns love their Dads. 1st borns are Mamas babies. I follow you on insta, have been since R's 1st hospital video (we didn't get the circumcision bc of it... we googled and were traumatized from little peeper pics). We'll just have to make sure he's super clean all the time 😅😅 Legend STILL doesn't sleep through the night, add "mare" to that word and that's what it feels like. Our priority is 1. is baby safe 2. is baby happy and lastly 3. is baby enriched emotionally, physically, and mentally. If you can maintain all 3, you are AMAZING PARENTS. We're in Orlando FL but have to move bc we can't afford the home prices anymore. Might go north and get some land and chickens or plants. Home has to be AFTER 1970's to avoid led paint poisoning or else I will make sure the surveyor does a led paint test. Don't want to leave Orlando but home prices went up by +100k in less than a year and rent is so high... like they're trying to push poor people who lived here for generations out (I'm white but big side eye to gentrification. Eatonville is in Orlando, author of Their Eyes Are Watching God.. remember from school? Eatonville is the first black made city, etc. But money talks and being poor is a crime.) I looked ALL OVER the US for an affordable and SAFE home... and I am NOT moving to Maine (sorry but it's so cold). Maybe we can group invest in an RV park, add cottages to the hook ups and share potlucks and bbqs every day off the harvest from the land? I'm fully vaccinated but I don't leave the house because there's STILL no baby vaccine 😭 I am out of boobie juice with breast feeding at this point too but he still likes to be nursed once in a blue moon (about 12 months old now). Sometimes something comes out and I'm like oh dang, still got it. Thanks 3 tall glasses of water before noon! Couldn't do it without you. Same, I breast fed exclusively to 6 months and introduced grocery store pre chopped fruit bowls and steamed in bag veggies and Gerber food over time. He loves the little cookie biscuits right now. He loves Mrs. Rachel on RU-vid when mommy and daddy need a break. 😊 Can R's Dad be Legend's grandpa too? My dad passed away from cancer in 2013 and husband's dad and my mom are both toxic 🥺
My mother said when she had me, she did crunches during the pregnancy and had a flatter tummy afterward. It may be hard, but it could very well be worth it. If you're up for the challenge.
Lol everyone kept telling me mine was going to be a girl because I was throwing up every thirty minutes for the first half of the pregnancy. But it's a boy. 💜
My mum and dad wanted tiny age gaps… So there’s 11months and 25days between me and one of my sisters… My other sister is two years younger than my first sister and 3 years younger than me… They regret the bigger gap between the two of them😂 They’re logic was, they’d rather have multiple kids going through the nappy stage and sleepless nights at once rather than get over that with one baby and have to start again with another So it is possible to have pretty small age gaps you just have to be next level committed to it I guess😂

Baby #1 came 2 weeks early 22 hr labor dr recomended to get an epidural because the contractions were making me throwup and i had been awake for 2 days Epidural stoped my contractions 😳🤦 all hell broke loose after that 😖 then 4hrs later my 8.5lb baby boy was finally born 5 years later baby 2 15hrs total labor was in the hospital 6hrs no epidural! Arived 4 centimeters dialated and went from 4 to 10 before the dr arived 😂 they didnt think it was funny but the nurses delivered my second son Baby #3 arrived at the hospital at 5pm with lower back pain and pelvic presure not dialated they were going to send me home but the dr changed his mind and had me walk for 2hrs if i didnt start to diolate then he would send me home Well color me serprised im in the balcony walking and i thing i pee a little and my husband takes me to the room and calls the nurse i dont know whats going on Aparently my water broke The dr has always broken my water so i didnt know what it felt like and when i told her she giggled so i didnt go home they told me i was in for a LONG ride because i wasnt diolated yet well to their serprise i went from 0 to 10 in less then 5hrs and the dr was in shock he almost didnt make it my contractions were so strong and so close together i couldn't breath so my blood pressure dropped they put me on oxygen and the evil epidural i told them i felt presure and felt like i had to push and they said it was too soon by the time they were done with the epidural my daughter was coming they ran to get the dr he was almost late to the party again 😂 every person and pregnancy is so different
