I agree, once a few hundred Apteras are released into the wild, the new website they are working on is going to get slammed. And you can see in the background of the in-house video that the facility is filling up with equipment and components. Along with the new talent coming onboard, things are getting exciting. I'd buy the model in case I never get a vehicle. I also believe that Apteras on the road will be the best marketing possible assuming that the vehicles perform as advertised. If I saw this vehicle on the road and had never seen it online before, I'd definitely google for more info. The name should be prominent on the vehicle but no more than "Ford" or "Chevrolet" on other vehicles. Maybe the wheel covers. Businesses will put other logos on the doors. Friends and neighbors seeing the vehicle repeatedly and riding in it and hearing the pro-Aptera narrative from an owner are also important. Early owners experiencing difficulties will have the opposite effect, of course.

Excited for USCapital and the expected progression they hope to bring! Love the look of that model, particularly its larger size, the fact that the doors and hatch open, and the finished interior!

I agree with you that the name, Aptera, should have been splashed all over the five Aptera prototypes driving around in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. I hope they do that in the PI builds. You can drop the name only when you have become well known.

I'm surprised that Chris M and Audra didn't have business cards to hand out. Stickers are OK for kids but adults want info and reminders. I even printed out some business cards with info on them for when/if I get one and people ask me about it.

I agree that once people see the vehicle driving around more the interest will skyrocket. Especially if done in target markets.

I see that US Capital just added a new honcho in their Dubai office.

2:05 Looks like Figma, extremely popular web-based design tool used for interface design, prototyping, and collaboration mostly. Most UI/UX designers use this. I agree, those are wireframes to the left, one is definitely for a mobile app.

I'd buy a model kit. THey were driving the Alpha and I think they totally could have had a see through vinyl sticker on the back window, I think once they go into production they could probably get some billboards across the country just to announce their presence.

You almost will need a spec's sheet taped to the window when you leave it parked. I do like the other guys idea of a big QR code. There should make up some bumper stickers.

Even one battery pack not completed, the bink in 2 months has had some stickers put on it, one a few wires measured lengths.......wow what progress......the only car you will get is that model and only the box is done so far. Why selling merch, why not actually doing production? Why didn't they partner with arcimotor who had all the factory working to produce 3 wheelers, why didn't they purchase any of arcimotor production machines when they auctioned them off? Do they really intend to go into production? It doesn't seem that way.

Since I do actually want all wheel drive they could do it with the redesigned non hub motors system for the two front wheels and an in wheel hub motor for the back. After all it doesn't turn and just goes up and down so the risk for that wheel is much smaller.

I will buy the model. I think they should have a 3" circle patch of their lime green logo and name with a lime green circle embroidered border. I'd have it sew it on my mid level backpack.

The in-vehicle GUI is done by a small company that does embedded GUI. It's pretty basic. Tesla uses QT.

the drivetrain switch is the biggest red flag on this whole project. they were talking PI vehicles and suddenly the entire Drive train is going to be different than every prototype? this is waaaaay to late in the process to pull this kind of shit. I'm doubting every single claim right now.

Interesting thoughts on Tim's motovation for leaving Flux Power. I noticed some heavy crates behind Tim. Anything that requires 3 skids on a crate that small must be very heavy. I'm thinking crates of batteries.

They spend most of their effort on marketing. Keeping the money coming in is their priority.

I have suggested a personal QR code for each Aptera for quite a while now. Glad to see others suggesting it too. I do not have glowing praise for the marketing team however I honestly think they are the weakest link.

I'm curious why, during the trip to In-N-Out Burger, they needed the white Chevy flatbed truck to follow them all the way there and back. It was an 8-mile round trip on mostly flat ground.

If they put the name on it then the conversation makes it more personal.

When I saw the title with the words "baby Aptera" I thought they meant a smaller version of Aptera, like a single-seater or a slimmed-down 2-seat tandem model. That would be the ultimate commuter Aptera - lighter, more aerodynamic and cheaper.

This car should already be in the wild, and I'm sure would have been popular if they put out a few dozen early V0s to get out the early bugs. Then why don't they release Aptera V1 without solar panels and then they have a new feature of V2 which they can market.

What I want to know is if this car ever makes it to production will it be the price advertised during the reservation? The cybertruk was supposed to be like 60k and ended up being 100k. Money isn't worth what is was years ago when we made our reservation

I leave my phone in my car on purpose, u hope we can turn the automatic app on or off ,and use some kind of key card or something.

Hopefully everything in the way of specs, merch, dates and price will be shown and sorted out by launch time. And yes, I want the model. It may be the only thing I wind up with if the price jumps from the base model.

Hopefully, Aptera will become a Tesla on August 8th so we can all get Full Self Driving and a Tesla motor under the hood. The Slovenian startup, Elaphe's wheel motors don't seem to have caught on very well and they have no track record as opposed to Tesla's models 3&Y's fabulous successes. Getting on board with Tesla will also make us all incredibly rich. Thankfully, Tesla's business has slowed a little so they have room for Aptera now. Tesla undoubtedly now has extra capacity to make motors, so economies of scale are to be had. Aptera parts nest and Aptera assembly is low-labor. Tesla can lower costs for many other Aptera parts, too, no doubt and all parts will benefit from Tesla's 5A1 Dunn & Bradstreet credit status. Suppliers are generally more willing to offer discounts to customers who are not of the 90% failing start-up variety.

A new website yeah, that's what needed

Heres some simple calculations on the solar roof: 700watts is power available, P=V.I, Power=volts times current Current = Power/Volts Lets say you turn all the output of the cells into 350v then current is 2amps ( I=P/v) So the panels have the power to produce 2amps ( at 350volts) this is just to get an idea of how much they can produce. Thats not enough to push the car along at walking speed. So how could you get 40 miles? The solar roof by itself would not be able to push the car along at all........I realise the energy goes into the battery not directly into the motors....its just to get an idea of how much energy you have. 700watts is less than a basic electric bike uses at full power ( usually 800watts approx if using 48v system).

You wonder if they should plaster the Aptera name all over the vehicle (5:00)? The vehicle itself is the ad! Let people ask, "What the hell was that?" They'll find out. Putting the name all over it destroys both the vehicle's beauty and its mistique. Use the mistique to your advantage! Imagine a Super Bowl ad campaign, in which several commercials for other products have an Aptera drive by in the background, right at the very end. Someone notices and says, "What the **** is that?!?" Repeat this in every commercial. No answer until the end of the game ... if even then! "What the **** is that?!?" People will be BEGGING for the answer!

Did you notice during the In and Out burgers run they were followed by an Aptera flatbed chase truck. Orders are not going to sky rocket should they ever reach production. Just because people are curious does not imply they would ever consider buying one. Aptera reservation rate has plummeted barely generating seven thousand reservations in the last eighteen months and this after three large spends on popular youtube channels and more press coverage to include CNN and MSNBC. Unless Aptera can significantly undercut traditional EVs in price any initial interest people have will be lost. That unique look which attracts attention also is the the same look which will keep people from buying one. Finally, if Chris and Steve were so confident in the product they would provided updated pricing guidance on the website. They cannot lay claim to profitability at six thousand units without know the selling price and cost of goods. That Chris hinted we won't know the actual drive line details till the PI is rolling should tell you a lot. As in, they don't want the truth out because they know it will turn off a lot of prospective customers and possible some current reservation holders. I know we are out if AWD is off the table. Won't even touch it and I bet others are in the same position.
