My mom had a stroke and had to learn to walk again. I held a broom stick horizontally and she held on with both hands. This helped her stand up straight and take small steps at a time. Aubrey doesn’t seem interested in learning to walk. I know you are waiting until she’s ready but it looks like she needs more motivation. Maybe one on one with no distractions. Additionally, she is carried a lot with no incentive to walk.
Agreed. She is carried a lot and there’s always a lot of distractions. She needs some alone time with one of the parents holding only one hand. She also knows that if she whines or cries she’ll get what she wants. Kids are smart that way.
Whine instead of "use her words" Which is attaching a word or simple phrase to what she wants or what she is doing Hopefully her preschool is doing it.
Wait till she starts dancing on her own. My twin nephews loved doing that. Their grandma would say: "Dancing! Big dance!" and they'd do their little dance. So cute.
Maybe if when Aubrey tries to walk her hands can be free. She tends to always be holding food or other objects. I’m sure that’s what causes her to loose Balance. So when she tries to walk she automatically looses balance because she is so used to having her hands full. I fear that she’s going to hurt herself or get poked!
I have 6 siblings, and when we were kids, we were just like you guys, we were a very affectionate, kissing family. So sweet. I will always cherish those years. You're little sweet family brings back all those wonderful memories for me. Thank you!!!
