Baby August born at 31 weeks 

I was born 3 months early, 1 lb 12 oz, 12 inches long. That was almost 62 years ago, I have no lasting physical or mental problems. The doctor told my Granny I many be behind other kids, she told him "you just watch". I pray for you and your baby.. everything will be just fine ❤️

Thank you so much for showing us your journey.....my twin boys where born at 31 weeks 4 days on May 30th. I know how hard it is for parents to see there kids in NICU even though you know that’s the safest place for them to be right now...it’s exhausting to make a trips to NICU while taking care of the elder child at home....my boys where in NICU for almost 2 months. Went through pretty much everything what a premature baby goes through IVH, hydrocele, apneas, breathing issues...they are 2 and half months now n both are above 7 lb and back home doing well. We are all together happy as a family now. Good luck and God bless you lil one’s.

This video made me think of where we were with my little girl in the NICU 6 months ago and my little boy 2 years ago. All the machines beeping and that massive CPap machine on the little heads. The worrying if they will make it. The up and down trips to the hospital. The struggling to supply breast milk in the beginning... Both my babies were preemies. My girl at 31 weeks and my boy at 33 weeks. The fighting spirit preemies have just made me look at the world through different eyes. They taught me patience and how to celebrate the little things and each and every milestone they reach. Having had pre eclampsia with both was a tough battle, but I would go through the whole experience all over again just to be able to have my two miracle IVF/ICSI babies in my life. I just love the bond my two share, the unconditional love. May Griffin and August always have a special bond with each other! God bless you and your beautiful, loving family

I was born at 31 weeks so it's interesting to see your baby born at the same age. Your older son was born SUPER early and sounds so adorable 😍 😭 I am currently 36+4 weeks pregnant today with my first baby (well 2nd pregnancy, the last one ended up a miscarriage at 6 weeks) so this pregnancy has been stressful but I am so greatful to have made it this far. I still worry "what if he comes now. It's too early!" I think I will feel that way even if I make it to 40 weeks lol.

I came to this video because I’m 31 weeks & 3 days I have an appointment soon to see if I may have to have an emergency c section. I am a bit nervous & I just wanted to see how small she may be & everything. This video helped. I have a 4 year old that is so excited to meet her baby sister.

So sweet ♥️♥️God bless these precious babies I am happy everything went well ♥️ I found out 5 years ago I had celiac disease and since I have afterwards researched about it I have read that undiagnosed it can cause both misscariages and premature births, I have also read it doesn't always give equally strong symptoms, so I wonder how many mothers and fathers with preemie kids have checked out if they have celiac? That means gluten allergy.

Babies born early lack a surfactant in their lungs and the lunges will collapse without it and that was a nasal CPAP that he had on in the beginning . It provides the patient with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure to keep the airways open until the baby matures and the surfactant is there to prevent the lungs from collapsing. If you have ever heard about a newborn having an expiratory grunt it means that they are trying to prevent collapse as they exhale. I am a respiratory therapist.
