They are innocent until they need to become independent and feed themselves. As long as momma bear does the killing and brings food, the cub doesn't have to hunt and kill. In this case, as long as the human feeds them - but guess what that feed is made out of?

Bears are WAY more intelligent animals than deer. Curiosity but also awareness of potential danger is a sign of intelligence, which is what you see this little cub displaying. The deer is just reacting to what the bear is doing and acting on sensory inputs.

@@measlesplease1266 I am also an uncle besides clearly being a Disney Princess, and I strongly favor using my Nieces and Nephews as slave labor in Ark and Minecraft, because it's still more wholesome and good for the mind than letting them jump on the Fortnite bandwagon at such young ages. My blood niece even solo tamed a raptor while I was busy fighting something bigger, *she's learning to step up!*

Sort of... Both bear and deer generally stick to eating plants, some types of bear are more app to eat fish... But deer will eat other animals too, such as small baby birds and rodents if it is an easy meal.
