This is when the survival of the fittest comes into play. As long as the parents are able to bring back enough fish to satisfy the bigger chicks, the smallest will be fine.

The most aggressive chick gets the most food.

The smaller ones get fed usually after the larger ones are sleeping. Then they can eat without hassle. The smaller ones are not ment to eat at the same times as the bigger ones, but as the littler ones get bigger and hungrier too so they will try to compete with the larger ones. There is enough food for all. When the all want to eat at the same time it is rough on the parents but I guess they do the same as their parents did.

They're aggressive. It's the aggressive chicks that get the chow. We really can't see how much each chick gets.

I agree that they have horrible manners, but as you can guess, the mom and dad were both once like that too. So they tolerate it as it's natural for them.
