The fact that this was done in one take, with no cuts, and the one camera is trying to keep both characters in frame while still *slowly* zooming in up to the final end...... brilliant. And Diane Keaton, talk about cracking like a bag of eggs! I never knew someone could be this graceful *and* hysterical at the same time. 😂
I live in a mountain cabin "off the grid," and this makes me crack up without end! Especially, "I don't want to know where it's coming from!" (I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!)
I'm originally from the US and I moved to NZ right before the pandemic. I was stuck here for over 3 years due to covid and trying to switch visas that cost me thousands of dollars and just a lot of details that I won't go into. By the end of it, this was literally me, and I used to watch this clip all the time for a laugh.
I hope you never let yourself be treated the way Keaton's character is in this film, nor, as Keaton allowed herself to be treated. But this is a great scene.
What’s interesting in this film is that womens roles before modern times was running a homestead while the husband would be working elsewhere, gone for possibly weeks at a time. After her nervous breakdown and getting over her ego she realizes in the end she can be content with what she has and doesn’t need to compete.
😂 that's me! I'm restoring a 1966 el camino ! The project was supposed to be 25k. I'm know at 36k. And the shop wants another 18k for a "show paint " job . UGH### ! NOOOO!
This is me, with the car restoration shop ! Another 11,000 for me aggghh. ! I paid 25k for bodywork and the car has gaps. WTf ! Then they want 18k for "show paint" nooo!
This isn’t funny if I can feel this pain for real. I’m sorry to be a party pooper. But I can relate all too well. This f*cking pandemic made me feel this way for d**n real! 😅
