I go to school with someone who’s last names is Tate, so that can count as a last name as a first name too! There’s a teacher who calls him tater tot though...
Yes I love last names for kids. My sons name Copeland which is a last name (also one of my favourite bands when I was younger) and my daughters name is Elliott. Which I had never heard on a girl until I met a lady in the grocery store and she was calling her daughter Elliott. The names you said are great. When I have my third kid I’ll come back to these lists. You’re the only one I’ve watched where I actually like a lot of the names you said.
Ha I'm trendy and didnt even know it! We looked at a million name lists and I never saw the name we went with. My maiden name is Andersen so we named our son Anders...funny it's the first on this list. Also, hello from northern Minnesota.
I love the names Atticus, Rowan, and Jack! They're very old school and timeless names. I also love that you're not familiar with the singer Aaliyah or the actor Chevy Chase, lol!
My son is named Anakin after Anakin Skywalker. I sometimes call him Ani as his mom did in Star Wars lol I love so many of the names you listed! Atlas, Arlo, Cedar, Hendrix & Ocean. Two other names I'm obsessed with are Ichabod & Hollow. 🖤
We had a little girl (Emilia) but Braxton was on our list of boy names too! My husband and I love it and it will definitely be on our list for a future baby!!
I am obsessed with finding family names to use one day for my kids. My Nana's maiden name was Jones and I absolutely love the alternative Jonas because it means "Gift from God" and "peaceful/dove". Also one of my Grandpas' middle names is Clifton which means "cliff town" but I love it! Its so cute.
That’s interesting, if it’s pronounced how I think it is it’s very similar to bannock. Which is was some native americans call fry bread and that’s just what popped into my head
Haaaa, they don’t have to have the same first letter. My parents did that roll call thing when they were calling for one of us 9 kids. Love your names.
I have a brother named "Drew" which is a nickname for "Andrew" but his name isn't Andrew. Growing up people tried to call him Andrew all the time and he and my mom would have to correct people. Since his name really isn't Andrew... it is Drew. Which is the opposite problem people normally have. Just a thought, of you named a boy "Ollie" you may end up having people try to call him "Oliver"
My mom swears my name wasn’t popular when she named me. Ok mom it was the 12th most popular girl name the year I was born. I’m also anti top 100 names but my coworker named her daughter Sophia so obviously not everyone follows our philosophy 😂
My parent's friend's name is Weston. He goes by Wes. They've known him for a while and my brother called him Westy once years ago and it has just stuck. Now we call him Westy every once in a while 😂.
I use expecting and empowered!!! I cannot recommend them enough! So good for I Postpartum and pelvic floor rehab!! I’m an ambassador for them and have a discount code for $10 off HEYSHAYLA Please ask me any questions you have about it !
I'm 15 and definitely not anywhere near ready to have a baby but I love Rare and unique baby names And definitely already have names for my future kids😂 For a girl Mabry,Azalea and resse are my favorites And for a boy Rowan, Aaron Hudson.
I didn't take my husband's last name when we married. Both of our surnames start with W and both are one syllable. It's kinda hard to find a name that compliments a middle and last name that are both only one syllable. I really love the name Wesley with a W middle and last name. WWW. 😅 One of my best friends named her babies Atticus and Wilhelmina and calls them Atti and Willa
Girl Names: Arwen, Beckham, Blake, Darcy, Esme, Olive, Penelope, Rowan. Boy Names: Asher, Beckham, Caspian, Everest, Flynn, Griffin, Hudson, Lennon, Lewis, Peter, Ryker, Zealand. Let me know if you like these :)
It started as a joke. My family is German and my sister was teasing me that I should name him Jäger Meister. It was funny, but the name Jäger (Jagger) stuck. 😀
That’s my younger brother’s name and he’s always gotten so many complements on it. My parents spelt it very differently (Jaegur), but it’s pronounced the same. I think it’s a lovely and unique name.
My great grandfather who just passed a month or so ago his name was Forrest Sullivan but everyone called him Sully. If I have a boy I want to name him Sullivan
Thinking of some last names that run on my grandmothers side, there’s Emmett or Lancaster. I think Caster could be unique but also weird lol. I love a lot of these names though. I lovvve Bolyn but that was veto’d
17 yo girl watching this even though im not planning to have kids any time soon but your so amazing to listen to like you have such best friend vibes :)
I go to school with someone who’s last name is Tate, so that’s another names that’s also a last name! There’s a teacher who calls him tater tot as a nickname though..
A boy name I really like is Constantine, a nickname could be Connie which I didn’t like at first for a boy but now it’s growing on me! I haven’t met anyone with that first name, but I did go to school with a guy with the last name Constantine lol
We named our son Salem and we’re just obsessed with it. I would have used it for a girl too. We plan on having a second child and it’s going to have to be a girl because we can’t seem to agree on any other boy names!
My mom named me “Madison reece hardin” and then my brother “Garris hayes hardin” and then my sister “Peyton bry hardin” and we all go by our middle name
I named my son Weldon (my father's middle name ). My great aunt takes the cake on baby names, she was a labor/delivery nurse her whole life and had 9 children of her own, Patches (girl), Simplicity (girl), Hightower ( boy), Crowe (her eldest boy), Van (boy) Shanee(girl), Apollo (boy), Shiloh (girl) and Zana (girl).
Wow can’t believe my sons name is actually in a list! His name is Hendrix and I end up calling him all sorts of names even thought I never wanted him to have a nickname 😂 I call him hendy-rixa hendy-rix rixa rixarino hendy-rixals just rixals 😂😂 These obviously won’t properly be a nicknames just silly things I say Although if I tell people his name they go oh like Jimmy Hendrix 😩
Being a dude and Hanging with buddies that usually give out nicknames Tate isnt a good call IMO... "Taint" is sure to be his nickname around the group..lol
Omg how bad would it be to name my boy Braxton ?! Lol I’ve had the WORST Braxton Hicks with him & it would just make me laugh half the time I call his name after he’s born 😂
I have loved the name Forrest for years, but that damn movie! I did meet a man named Forrest and I asked if he got teased. He said yes, all throughout school it was "run forrest run". He was born before the movie came out btw. I still like that name. I also really like Huckleberry, but I seem to be alone on that one too. lol.
So my first is called Odin Gunnar For future babies I love: Atlas Orion Ares Orion Koa River Astrid (can’t figure out a middle name, help😂) I’m currently 6 weeks with #2
