Thank you some much. I will try to do these beautiful pants long for the winter. Thank you for sharing and speaking so clear, I will look forward to more tutorial
Glad I just read the comments because I was wondering how do you end up with 16 stitches I ended up frogging the project will work on it again tomorrow.
Mam thank u for this project. I successfully completed without any difficulty. The lesson instruction was clean and clear to understand for any beginners. Would appreciate more such projects for new borns are shared to us
Yolanda. I can't follow this video because when you start the first row after you close the waistband, you are out of the camera so I can't see how you are working around the post
Hi just a question, on the leg part how do you get the line to go strate down the in side part of the pants? My lines end up in the front of the legs. I did everything you did.
This is beautiful!!! I was curious if you had this pattern written or typed anywhere or a.link to it?? I would love to work this away from the computer :)..
Does anyone have recommendations on how to size this down to a preemie size? I can decrease the hook size to an F, but if there are stitch reduction recommendations, I'd prefer to use those with a size G hook as it makes the project less stiff. Thanks! :)
So i'v just done the ribbing bit and I don't get the bit where you say continue for 59 rounds but you should have 16 stitches and when you join and go around I single crochet you only have 16 single crochet around the whole circumference of the Waist of the trousers? I don't get how I'm supposed to do 59 rounds and only have 16sts? Please explain :-)
@Leanne Peerbux Not to be rude to Berlin Crochet: Ignore what she's saying about 16 rounds and the 16 dc for the waistband. It's obviously a translation (or explanation glitch). There are a lot more than "16 stitches/sc". I think she was inverting her number in English and she means 61 stitches and 61sc. For the beginning of the waistband, what she means is 59 rows not rounds because she's not actually working "in the round". In total you'll have 61 ROWS (the 1st two rows she demoed + 59 more) not rounds which should give you a waistband that's about 10"-12" (depending on your gauge). When she joins the waist band ends together at one corner with slip stitches (sl) until the waistband ends are joined/closed. Transition to pants: Ch1 and one sc in the sides stitches of the waistband rows. This will give you a clean edge as well as a foundation for the "seat" area of the shorts. At 9:27 when she's narrowing the leg of the pants with the row of alternating 1 dc and 2dc together - that means a row of DECREASES... Hoped that helped.
RunWayUnderground i would Love to know if you knew the measurements from the end of the waist band to the end of the crotch area!??? So the bottom of the wasit band to the beginning of the leg area! 💖💖💖
Melissa Deroche Sorry I don't come on here often and forget to check messages when I do. So I'm just seeing your question from last year - YIKES! I'm sure after almost a year, you've figured out the answer to your ?. Hope so... I actually haven't done this particular project using these instructions (yet). I was able to figure out what was going on from watching the video and decades of crocheting. If by measurements you mean actual inches/cm, I wouldn't know until I tried the pattern - even so, almost everyone's will be slight different because we all crochet at different tensions and techniques. I wouldn't worry about actual measurements as much as following the pattern for the right number of stitches and rows. Also I think she gave a gauge at the beginning if not, just try the pattern as instructed first than adjust the next one based on what did or didn't work for you the first time.
most patterns are the same, you just change the hook depending on if you need it bigger or smaller. usually things are for 0 to3 months, 3 to 6 months and so on. thats how i have found most patterns work.
simple method, go for thicker yarn. if this size is newborn and is hook size 4. Then 4,5 hook - 0-3 5 hook -3-6 5,5 hook 6-9 6mm hook 9-12 many patterns are adjusted this way.
