Baby dedication is a special ceremony in which parents commit to raising their child in a biblical way. During this event, parents express their desire to lead, guide, and nurture their child according to Christian principles.

Teach the Child the way of the Lord
Deuteronomy 6: 5 - 8 - Teaching the children the way of the Lord!
*Proverbs 22: 6:* “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Parental Responsibility: As parents, we have a responsibility to teach and guide our children. The phrase “train up” implies intentional effort and dedication. We should instill in them the right values, wisdom, and understanding.
Individual Path: The verse acknowledges that each child has their unique path.
Lifelong Impact: The promise is that when children are raised with godly principles, these lessons will last a lifetime. Even as they grow older, the foundation laid during their upbringing will remain with them.
*Romans 12: 1* - “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship”
This means dedicating ourselves wholly to God, surrendering our desires, ambitions, and actions to Him. The sacrifice must be holy-set apart for God’s purposes. It should also be acceptable to God. Our lives, transformed by His grace, become pleasing to Him.
Spiritual Worship: This act of presenting ourselves as living sacrifices is spiritual worship. True worship isn’t confined to rituals or ceremonies; it’s a lifestyle.
Our daily choices, attitudes, and actions become acts of worship when done in obedience to God.
It’s not just about attending church services; it’s about daily surrender to God.
