Flopping on his lap like a big dog! She plays with him like he’s his own personal toy. 🥰 I love it!❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘 That is REAL trust from the mother to let him play with her baby.
He's happy probably a little tired looks like late afternoon, notice mother is happy to have a break, also care giver is only one who can teach baby Elle behavior ,you see mom and nannies accept care giver as a family member brother to baby
@@judithneeley5229 let's see, his "baby" he's charged to care for, starts out at around 250pounds so, Bigger than that now. Very strong and super playful but totally doesn't know how strong it is! Add to that, trying to play with Mahout the way would ply with another strong Elephant and the amount of hours he probably spends caring for this adorable "handful"...I'd be pretty tired
Be nice with the animals and you will feel better...... You will have a happy life later when you' re getting old. I really admire all the workers at the Elephant Nature Park! God will bless you with all of your good works for the elephants.
Hi (LEK) you daughter DOK MAI is so beautiful . Dok Mai and NAVANN . I hope be they be come the best friend. I very love both of them. Every time I watch both of them play. They just melt my heart . Than you . LEK 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Not sure if you're following Lek or Pom, but Navaan has been placed on isolation while he's getting treatment. He caught a form of syphilis that is highly contagious to baby elephants. I believe his Nanny Faa Sai is with him.
@@mayo5831 It was elephant-herpes. He didn't "catch" it, he contracted/developed it. Apparently baby elephants can contract it, and it can be fatal, but he got over it just fine, and is a fine young bull in good condition.
Why do you guys insist on calling elephant keepers 'mahouts'? Mahouts are synonymous with abuse, not care-giving. Just call them keepers or wardens or something.
Reaching Higher THANK YOU! THESE ARE RESCUERS. NOT MAHOUTS. Idk why I keep seeing them say that either. The woman who owns this Amazing organization does not call them mahouts..so why do these ppl? It's ignorant. Thank you for also acknowledging that.
So it looks like all babies have the need to mouth things! And in this case, it looks like her babysitter/mahout didn't appreciate being mouthed very much. :) (It was 2013.)
The care giver is 1 on 1 with her full time and the only one to train her , feed her , wash her, now she's learning that she weights to much to just flop down on him notice the mom is completely at ease as he's now part of the family and trust's him.
@@alking4153 Train? Do you mean to let them check her feet and such? What kind of "training" are you talking about? Please be specific and clear, thank you.
@@cacatr4495 it's showing how behave they don't have them do trick's but when tourist are allowed they don't want the he babies knocking them down the mama's and Mannie's do most of it each Elle gets a care giver who's sole job is that Elle only he can give instruction to him or her their together sun up till dark the Elle's are smart and pick up language cue's and the care giver's learn what the Elle's want like older one's like a certain area so their go there some like nap in the afternoon heat and go to the river then ,I used the word training but it work's both Way's each find's out the other wants but other than safety the mahouts job is to see that the Elle's get to do what make's them happy Dok Mai is a member of a large family and to see her have to put up with a younger brother for year's was something .having lived close to the park I've been there many time's .
It's not a zoo. It's Elephant Nature Park. Why do you frequent this channel if you're so invested in denigrating ENP? So often, you do this. Are you a troll?
And why to send Doc Mai back now! I can see that she’s at ENP since she was only 2 weeks old! I don’t understand the latest update about this gorgeous elephant!!!!! The update from May 2021 !
I believe you have this baby Dok Mai confused with a middle-aged foster-elephant whose name is also Dok Mai. This baby has never gone anywhere, and won't. Middle-aged foster-elephant Dok Mai is also still at ENP, along with her two friends that are owned by the same owner that has them at ENP over these last 2 years. They're doing very well. Lek will do all possible for them to remain at ENP. Also keep in mind that a visitor filmed this video and uploaded it; this is not one of ENP's channels.
Baby eles are *very heavy, such that if they let the baby ele sit on them, it could injure them, so they have to prevent the baby-ele from sitting on them. If they let 2-week-old infant elephants sit on them, the baby will want to do the same 2 months later, 6 months later, when they are MUCH heavier.
У меня впечатление, что слоник хотел зубки почесать о перекладину и почесать спинку об столб - это видно на записи, а парень уселся и мешал ему это сделать.
She is there at ENP with her mother Dok Ngern and brothers and her herd-mates Faa Sai, Thong Jaan, Faa Mai and their mother Mae Bua Thong. Her older brother, Chang Yim, is now (in 2022) 13 yo so he's in the bull section of the park, while her 6 yo little brother, Dok Rak, is still with the family herd. She is often in videos of Faa Mai's family, and is often seen right next to Dok Rak. She's doing well, and is now 9 years old, almost adult size. :)
They have to prevent the babe-ele from sitting on them, perhaps that's some of what you see. If they don't prevent that, in 6 months when she's even heavier, she will also want to sit on people, and that could injure, so it has to be prevented from the start.
In 6 months time, an infant elephant is so heavy that they could injure anyone they sit on, and they *do try to sit on people, so it has to be prevented early on.
The caretakers are hired to be caretakers of the elephants. If they're behaving wrongly, Lek lets them go. If you were referring to the caretaker pushing the baby away, it's because in 6 mos. time, the baby elephant will be so heavy that they could injure a person, so they have to prevent that practice from the start.
If you truly mean let elephants be elephants then why does she need a mahout she's not an orphan? Or why insist they have to go to the river for bath time with the tourists? Why not just let nature take it course and let them swim when they feel like it? If she's free enough to have a baby and no one knows about it why can't she be free enough to raise her baby how she wants to without human interference?
@@lindadryden5960 They are separated from the other elephants for the protection of the baby, considering that not all formerly brutalized elephants have stable minds, and that some of them are still angry and unpredictable.
The mahout brings food to her mother every hour, cleans out their shelter, takes constant mental note of their condition, how they are each doing, so that if something needs veterinary attention, they can receive it. ENP doesn't insist that the elephants go swim (they never did), or with the tourists anymore. If they didn't want to go to the river, they didn't have to. At ENP, the elephants were rescued from abuse, and not all of them have stable minds, so it's important to keep the baby safe from the possibility of danger.
