Poor guy. Why is he struggling all of a sudden? And you are continuing to feed him. Instead of laughing, you ought to try to comfort him and may be give him a sip of milk to wash the food down. Also try to give him smaller spoonfuls when he is struggling with whatever he is struggling with--the taste, flavor, texture...
Why is it so funny that your baby hates the food or the squash. It’s sad to laugh at him instead of feeding something that he likes and to enjoy his dinner and his mom and dad.
They tried peas for the first time and he hated them but you can't help but laugh at his faces he made, those are memories. He likes his other food she fed him. I think we all laugh at our babies when they shiver or make funny faces as long as you don't keep shoving the food in their mouth and making them gag and gag.
He’s not “struggling” to swallow, he just doesn’t know/like the taste or texture of the new food he was given. There’s absolutely nothing wrong w/ his swallowing capability.
Have to agree with this. I'm usually the chill one with these videos but this was flippin ridiculous!! That child didn't make a sound for almost a full minute!! That means he couldn't catch his breath you fools!! And did you invite the whole damn neighborhood to watch him struggle??? Why do you think he was moving the way he was??????. He couldn't catch his breath you fools!!!! Most ignorant parent award recipient right here!!!

Number 1, this baby is now 18....he is a well adjusted highly intelligent college student! Number 2, I am college professor with a masters degree. I taught nursing for 12 years, specializing in maternal newborn nursing and pediatrics. At the time of the video, I had already graduated from LSUHSC with a Masters in Nursing. My child was never in any distress, he hated the taste of peas.....PERIOD! Number 3, Most babies hate peas! They gag, try to spit them out, and make ugly faces when they are offered them. Search on baby and peas you will get a million videos just like mine. Number 4, I know how to feed a baby! I am a professional at the art of getting your super picky infant to eat baby food!! I am amazed at some of these dumb ass comments. You people are a bunch of idiots!

There are some of us who do not find humor in a babies discomfort. I believe that there are ways of feeding a baby without tears from the child. What bothers most of us, is the fact that your son was miserable. You could and should have offered him a bottle of either water, breastmilk, or formula to wash it down. Instead you seem to have much enjoyment out of his discomfort. You finally offered a bite of cereal, but to little to late. Anyone who watches baby video's has probably seen some of my comments. They know that I do not find an upset baby funny. I believe that meal time should be a relaxed and pleasant time for everyone. When my children were growing up, meals together was a time for everyone to catch up on what the others were doing. Your son grew up to be a fine young man and you have every right to be proud. Maybe laughing at him, like in this video, didn't effect him adversely, but if a child has seen enough negative behavior in their life, it does effect them. One way or another.
This is how baby learns to use his reflects just like when baby is learning to sit or walk they tip over or fall down di is it wrong or evil to stand them back up to fall again? Is this cruel as well? So please people stop acting as if this us si wrong besides baby need to learn texture n taste other then milk something they're use to.
