It has been so hard with my sons eczema. From feeling judged by others, his itching , you already know the drill. Education like this is integral. Thank you so much, I really appreciate you 😢❤
Use Mama Nature's Tiny Troubles Natural Baby Rescue Cream on your son. It is a gentle yet effective natural formula that contains calendula (which has been proven to relieve eczema). Don't take our word for it - read on-line reviews. It has already helped countless babies and children with eczema and is well worth trying. And if it doesn't work Mama Nature will give you a full refund!
Great interview! I'm a retired ED nurse and thought the information you gave was absolutely wonderful. Have a 2year old grandson with atopic dermatitis. His poor hands and feet are severely red with the flaking you described. His mother lives in PA and is receiving healthcare thru the state. Contacted a PEDS dermatologist to have him seen. Was told that if I paid out of pocket for his treatment he could possible lose his insurance. How sad 😢.His mother and I are doing all OTC and other recommendations given per the Soc of PED dermatologist. Just wanted to vent!! He has had to wait for 9months to be seen by an allergist first.Told his mother to press for some steroids. State healthcare must be totally overwhelmed. The poor physicians who deal with this have my prayers.
Thank you for doing this Jessi! My baby started having eczema since he was 3 months old. He’s 1 now and we’ve gotten a lot better at managing his eczema. A lot of questions I had were answered so thank you! I’m going to follow her on IG and keep on top of my normal regimen now for my baby. 🤗
That's amazing to hear! Would you mind sharing the regimen that has worked for your son? I'd love to know, and I'm sure it would help other moms as well :)
@@jessimalay I use 3 cream/balm and then top it with petroleum jelly. I start off with Aveeno Nighttime Balm all over body n face, Renew lotion on problem areas, Eucerin Eczema Relief on problem areas, and then Petroleum Jelly on problem areas. I would apply hydrocortisone after the Renew lotion if my son’s eczema seemed to be coming back. I bathe him once in the morning and once in the evening. I found that water helps retain all creams/balm/lotion I apply everyday. I tried bathing every few days to every other day, but that didn’t help clear up the eczema. I also have Tubby Todd All over ointment that I use in replacement of the Aveeno nighttime balm from time to time. I always make sure to apply Eucerin 2-3 times throughout the day to help with any itch or dryness. I also bought these non scratch mitten gloves from Amazon that has been our life saver. No more waking up to bloody faces and earlobes. Whenever he seemed to be super itchy, I’d put the gloves on and it prevents harsh scratching. This is my regimen for my son. It was a lot of trial and error and finding what worked. I’ve watch countless videos on RU-vid and tik tok. This is my 3rd child and my other 2 did not have any eczema problems. So it was a shock to me and a learning process. I’m still learning every day. I hope this helps someone out there. Stay strong, our babies are beautiful no matter what.
Hey Julie, thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, do you mean you always use 4 layers of cream/lotions/petrolatum jelly on your son’s skin? Or just Aveeno then Eucerin and vaseline?(on problem areas)
My daughter has excema, and the first few questions on here described us. I feel that cooking the formula before feeding helps her skin. And batging every other day as well as 3-5 minutes of sun a day helps the skin breathe better, and yes, moisterizer like dove lotion helps along with a small amount of cortisone cream applied at night
If the formula you use contains dairy or soy, STOP and switch to something else. Those are huge eczema triggers and cause colic in babies. Dove is one of the worst brands for “sensitive skin” because it contains eczema-irritating ingredients. Switch to an all natural, plant based non toxic brand for literally everything - laundry detergent, baby lotion, baby soap. I recommend Earth mama and Puracy
B and W ointment has helped tremendously with my baby. I apply it in the morning and before bedtime. It’s a natural product made by the Amish that is actually for burn victims. But it’s really improved the eczema 💗
Thank you for doing this video. The paepdiatric dema gave some excellent information! I wouldnt even know where to start on how great the information was. Solved all my concerns. Thanks again🇯🇲
@@aneettags7215 tubby Todd was an absolute disaster and I had to wash it off of her skin immediately!! But the La Roche lotion was a hit and that’s all I use for her skin… I also used the body wash for her hair and skin.
Tubby Todd was the only thing that didn't make my daughter's eczema worse. And she has a closet full of different creams, ointments, lotions, and drugs.
I got a 5 months old granddaughter with a severe case of eczema , whole body is red nothing works to stop the itching , cries all day every day , dermatologist appointment is 1 month out , is heart braking seeing her and my daughter suffer like this
My baby had really bad eczema on his face and I just applied aquaphor on his face many times a day. The key is just to keep the skin moisturized. (I’ve heard really great things about Tubby Todd for baby eczema/acne/dry skin etc.)
My 4 month old nephew has been getting severe eczema and I've been doing anything and everything to help his parents find things that are harmless and understanding it.
Tips on this: Only dress baby in cotton clothes (nothing polyester EVER), use a completely natural plant based laundry detergent, use completely cotton or bamboo sheets (even satin or silk work well), use non toxic plant based natural baby soap, baby lotion, diaper cream, use all natural plant based or cloth baby diapers, get a reliable water filter for the shower and sinks! , don’t feed baby formula with dairy or soy, and if breast milk causes colic stop eating dairy altogether, only use a natural non toxic plant based eczema cream, don’t follow most derms advice as they have no idea about holistic and natural healing and will just prescribe things to cover up the symptoms but not get to the root cause. If the baby still has eczema after trying ALL of these things and looking at reviews to make sure the consensus of most customers is 5 stars, then in that case I would seek out a naturopath
I'm a steroidphobia dad, my doctor suggested me 0,5% steroid for my 1 month baby. But i decided to use unrefined shea butter to my baby. 3 days and I see great improvement!
Wow, I love this channel! 👍 I used to deal with herpes simplex virus and eczema for the past 2 years until I got a review on RU-vid about Dr. Odion who cured hsv2 with his herbal medicine. I am very happy to be cured of hsv2 and eczema after taking Dr Odion herbal and I hope anyone here with the same conditions or other illnesses will contact Dr. Odion for herbal treatment. ru-vid.com/show-UCLJPudFNpftjjnmFkkPGt7g
Hyperpigmentation and eczema are so bad😔. my 1 year old daughter had severe eczema but she is free now after taking the herbal medicine I ordered from Dr. Odion from Africa. Thanks to Dr. Odion for saving my daughter's life. ru-vid.com/show-UCLJPudFNpftjjnmFkkPGt7g
Thank you so much for this informative video. My nephew, 8 months old has a severe eczema on his face and eyes. His face is also swollen and looks like he has eczma on his eyelids, he keeps rubbing his eyes. Anything specific we can use for his eyes? Thanks!
Take the baby to a doctor and let them check for heavy metals in baby’s system. You have to get to the root of the problem which is most likely toxins in baby’s body that is causing inflammation hence the eczema flare ups . Make sure baby is drinking enough water to flush out any toxins that may be in his system. Try adding a little Baking soda to bath water to help minimize itchiness. Apply aquaphor or Vaseline or candula lotion on skin to moisturize
Really, it is difficult to say. My babies GP, after trying all the creams in stock, said to us "The cream that works for the baby is the best to use." Every child is different, so are their skins. The idea is to follow a routine with a specific cream per time and observe what works for your baby.
Exactly. It’s the worst! Completely destroyed my baby’s skin. Baking soda and thyme oil were two of d products that helped after advantan and steroid creams damaged his skin .
Good morning beautiful thanks so much For this video it helped me a lot my Baby is 4 months old watching her go through this break my heart at first I didn't know it's what so when I was looking for a answer I find you so thanks when I carry her to a Pharmacies he give me Advantan
Advantan worked for a little while for my baby then caused his skin to break out rlly bad , that and the hydrocortisone cream . Be careful when using them . Not good for babies’ skin
Thank you so much for this information. My 5 month old is currently experiencing eczema and steroids scare me but I feel better now to try it and see if it works if not I'll try la roche posay or can I use both?
@@summerhamilton3941 she's doing great. We actually saw the dermatologist yesterday and she said to continue what we're doing. We stopped using the steroids in June and decided to just stick with the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm and it's been amazing. Thank you so much for checking in 😊
@@abigailgiron2154 My daughter has been using it since she was six months. It's recommended for babies as well, from I believe two weeks onwards so it should be safe. If you're not sure, talk to the pediatrician or dermatologist. She's hasn't has any issues with it and I also use the body wash on her as well.
@@kellybrown8728 that’s what I believe and I bet people like the omish here in Pennsylvania don’t have any eczema because they don’t vaccinate anyone they also don’t have Covid-19 either so look at it like what it is they are drug dealers and they have to give you something that makes you sick so you keep coming back
@bdoubleu6 and you know, I don't understand why vaccines are so expensive in the US. In my country, my mom said all babies got them free. My bill was $1000 for 3 vaccines (one time) without insurance. 😣
Not for my baby. I don’t vaccinate any of my kids anymore after my oldest. The mmr caused my oldest to have serious brain damage and now he’s disabled for life. So my other kids have never had any. My newborn has severe eczema.
I came here looking for answers and I swear that first question was exactly my question! I literally came back from the clinic after being prescribed hydrocortisone for my 8 weeks old baby. Edit: I have KP! Got it during pregnancy actually. U answered a question i didnt even think to think about lol
Skip the soaps . Wash baby with filtered water and a bit of baking soda. Make sure to do a patch test first bfre applying any product in your baby to see how their skin will react. Baking soda and apple cider vinegar are very effective in clearing up eczema especially when babies are going through topical steroid withdrawal . Just make sure to use them in moderation as babies skin are very sensitive
Okay so I’ve heard making a paste out of oatmeal an warm water works really well, but before I do so for my nephew I just want to be sure, what do you guys think on that ?
idk about the paste but i heard about putting oatmeal in a sock and tie it in a knot and put it in the tub and it is and isnt like a bath bomb lol, my daughter has severe eczema it didnt bother her at all but i also dont know of it helps bc i only did it 1 time and realized i ran out of oatmeal but i think it helps with the irritation/itching. when i was done i just turn the sock inside out threw the oats in the toilet or trash and rinsed the sock out
Hi your videos are so helpful..can you help me my baby is 2 years old and she has eczema and I apply doctor prescribed cream every day but don't see great results. do you have any home remedies? Thanks
My baby had ezema and what I discovered is that her body didn t like conventional toxic laundry detergent. I did bioresonance tests on her and it showed she had high levels of heavy metals which are ironically found in detergents! I changed all cleaning supplies for ecologic ones. also she had high levels of histemine in the body, and was intolerent to milk, dairy, gluten, and some more foods which you can find are no no on a low histamine diet (which acctualy exists). So what I also did was taken out all those foods for one month (from my diet becaus I breast feed) and her ekcema cleared!! if I was to folllow this conventional bullshit she would be on steroids and would have had cronical dermatitis for who knows how long... This big pharma doctors are missled.
Try taking clay pills to get rid of toxins from the body, you can mix it out in water as well and when u breast feed it will pass into milk and help to remove heavy metals from babies system. Baking soda is also effective to bathe baby in / apple cider vinegar to help with itchiness
@@careenebryant647 yes my son had that on his lower leg and it cleared up in two days. I use half hydrocortisone and half vaseline and just smear it all over him and put his PJ's on
@@mlboone3028 Thank you so much!! because I'm freaking out! This is my first experiencing this with my 3 year old which is my only child and it just came out of nowhere, everytime I look at her hands and feet it really breaks my heart. #Firsttimemom I will try your remedy out because I just want it to disappear so that she can have her beautiful skin back.
@@careenebryant647 Your welcome it has worked on both my kiddos, I didn't have this issue with my two older boys they never had skin issues, but these last two both developed skin issues after a few months it is so frustrating to see their skin crack and hurt
Thank you so much for this video! Is it safe for babies to have Hydrocortisone on their cheeks daily for many years continuously until they finally outgrow eczema?
No!!! The baby is going to go through tsw, topical steroid withdrawals. Skin might get addicted to the steroid and worsen his/her eczema. Avoid cortisone completely and try using thyme oil, aquaphor ointment for itchiness and bathe baby in a small amnt of baking soda
