A baby gibbon must take all the help it can get to learn to climb - but will an unexpected injury prove to be an insurmountable setback?

My heart was in my mouth watching tiny Eko swinging on that high strap. I know he's a gibbon but still, he's so tiny!!

In nature there would be branches, vines and limbs below were the apes were aging to catch before the apes fell to far.

Actually with gibbons there's alot of fall injuries with how they naturally brachiate through the forest. They can reach speeds of 35mph, and jump spaces up to 50ft.

I love them. Sadly where I live in Thailand there. Gibbon right around the corner from me. “Julie” has been in that cage about 15 years I feed her a few times and day and spend time grooming her when I’m home. I’ve posted. Few shorts of me doing so.

I would think he would explore on his own quicker if they had a habitat with real trees or structures that were more treelike than just a rope between poles.

I remember walking a young gibbon on a Thailand island beach many moons ago and I’ll tell you the little creature was all lovey doves in the morning then racing around by late afternoon.lol.Poor little gibbon, don’t think it had a mom,it was someone’s pet.
