at my 22 week scan my daughter was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (half a heart) she had open heart surgery at 6 days, 3 months, 6 months and 4&1/2 years, she is 10 now, but i still remember that terrible day like it was yestuday :( glad you got some good news !
That must have been so hard to go through. The things little people have to go through as soon as they are born is amazing. It is so good to know she is now doing well.
I’m been anxiously awaiting for this update. I’m so... SO happy that everything is going to be okay. What a huge relief for you and your beautiful baby girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should look into the owlet baby monitor from what I have hear it's great that exact reason it watches for breathing and things like that and can be worn while the baby sleeps
I'm so happy that she'll be ok. I'm excited for the clothing haul, me n all my friends have boys so this will be new to me. Sooo many cute dresses! Can't wait!
😂 funnily enough I am not much of a dress kind of girl myself. I like cute two pieces more. So it’s mostly my mum and aunty buying dresses for angel and baby girl 😆
DiGeorge syndrome and Down's are both linked with heart defeats and they would have been able to see both by now so that is good her facial structures look good. I had a good feeling that it was the best news possible but i didn't want to completely dismiss that there was a chance of a worse result, i knew that other worse issues would have been looked for in the previous scan such as the ones i spoke about before. I am very happy for you and your family that it is really good news ... sending lots of love as always xxx
I’m glad everything looking better so I got my scan at 20 weeks and I was told my baby pulmonary on the right ivc on the left aovta on the left and so I’m really stress idk how to go about this I get another scan in 2 weeks Could anyone give me advice
@@AthinaKarpouzis It actually pushes one of main arteries up by my clavical and you can see it palpitate. One of my dr. Thought it was an aneurysm and sent me for an MRI with dye and that's when they found it. It does cause palpitations for me and sometimes my artery gets pinched which gets scary because that is a main artery. But normally this anamoly has no symptoms or issues.
Ah you can finally breathe a sign of relief ❤️ I was praying for your baby girl and your family each day and I’m so glad you have all the answers you need. So good to see you more calm and relaxed xx
I’m so glad you had a better experience this time. I’m so glad to hear she won’t have any issues. You must be so relieved. Take a deep breath and relax now hun ❤️ I would get some kind of breathing pads or owlet monitor for her. I had gestational diabetes and an early csection at 37 weeks and my baby was taken from me for 4 days so I understand your fear of bub being taken. Try and mentally prepare yourself to say she may just need to go to the special care nursery and that she would be in the best place. I feel like I coped better with it because I did that. They are being extremely strict with visitors into the maternity ward now with the virus. You may find Angel won’t be able to come and visit.
Thank you. Yes it is a big relief and at least now we know what we have to deal with. I am already looking into owlet as I had a little one at childcare when o was working who wore it during nap time. I was so heartbroken thinking she would be taken away to another hospital and I wouldn’t be able to be with her. At least if she is taken to the special care nursery she will be at the same hospital and I will get to her.
I am so glad you had better Dr's this time and have put your mind somewhat at ease. It's never easy when it comes to a baby. My 27 ur old son was born with Wolfe-Parkinson White's syndrome. He has an extra electrical charge in his heart. Unfortunately they cannot fix his abnormality, as the charge is on one of his main charges our hearts normally have and they would risk shutting that off too. I am with you on your apprehension with this. She will be great!!!
I commented on your last video saying my sweet babe had interrupted aortic arch as well as other defects that “go along” with that main defect. Glad to hear your scan went well!! Such a relief. My little babe has 22q (DiGeorge Syndrome) as like you said it’s common for 22q kiddos to have aortic arch issues
Yes I remember. We will be testing for 22q after she is born. The doctor said sometimes it only indicates learning problems and such so we shall see. No matter what we can deal with it. How is your little one doing? I know heart babies are strong.
Glad to hear you decided to not do the amnio. With my son having a complex CHD they asked me to do an amnio when I was pregnant. However, given the risk of miscarriage with an amnio we decided not to do it. My son does not have DiGeorge and is a healthy, smart, vibrant 3 year old. So glad I didn’t put myself through additional testing.
Exactly. There is no reason indicating a serious need to go through the process of an amnio. I refuse to take the risk. So happy to hear your little man is doing great.
Angel was a big baby at almost 9 lbs. and I had the pain so I imagine either it’s my body going through the works and being sore or this little one is going to be similar.
I had pubic bone pain this time and this baby was smaller than my last! Well, I mean he was born sooner too, so its expected. Haha. So glad to hear that its not so scary now and that youre both well🌺
