I don't think you have to be worried about them renewing their contract for multiple reasons. First of all, like you said, they're only just now getting very popular and have started to be invited onto more variety shows. They even won an award recently (not their first win, but still an award nonetheless). Second of all, in recent clips multiple members have stated that they want to try different things in the future of their music, whether it's writing lyrics or trying new haristyles, etc. Third of all, they know what it is like to disband once, and that has only made them more thankful for their fans and their company for taking care of them. Along with that, they have their own sub-label of Happyface and the staff get along very well with them. Lastly, and most importantly in my opinion, they aren't just music performers, they're music lovers, and even if they don't get their first win (which I personally think they will next comeback), they will continue to make music because that's what they love to do., for both themselves and for the fans. This is for both you, Aaron, and any anxious InSomnia who reads this!

when she said dreamcatcher was caught in between a war between 2 cosmic god, i cant disagree. their group have been involved with extreme luck and bad luck. just look at mixnine(goodluck) and their "first win" of deja vu(bad luck)

Though Minx wasn't successful and the girls weren't entirely fond of the concept to begin with, I will say their debut and comeback weren't "bad". I actually like them and still listen to it from time to time. I know a lot of people like to talk down the Minx times but honestly, I really don't think it should be. Yes it wasn't the greatest times compared to what they've achieved as DreamCatcher but its still a piece of DC history and the girls did go all out for it. People also tend to talk as if HappyFace made the mistake of debuting the group with the cuter concept in the first place. But the thing is, that's because that was what the rising popular concept is. During 2014-16, the cute concept was the popular go to concept for girl groups (Like now the go to concept is Girl Crush). So many companies would play it safe by going with what's popular, which is why there were so many "cute" groups who debuted during that time and that mainstream trend changes over time, like before 2014, the more mature sexy groups where big and from 2017 onwards, Girl Crush is popular. Its easier to go with the flow since you know its what the general audience likes, but the downside is, unless you hit a stroke of luck, are from a known company, or have SOMETHING unique to bring to the table, you don't stand out. And thats what causes many groups to fail. What HappyFace did that was smart on their part was instead of continuing Minx as is in hopes of something sticking down the road, was to pull the group and change it up completely. Though like the video said, it was a bold move and equally a gamble. Since its something completely different and not the norm, you don't know if it would be successful and if people would like it. And in DreamCatcher's case, their concept did turn heads and give them attention but it hasn't exactly stuck with the Korean audience. However, it has gained attention with the international audience and they've been doing well in the overseas market, so overall, the redebut/rebranding was successful. Either way, whether a company decides to produce a group based on what's trendy or do something different, its a gamble on whether they'd be successful or not.

Too late for this video, but if you checked you would have seen her video has captions which would be good when you're muting so you know when she starts talking again or at least what she's saying while muted. Although I would have preferred you just wait and watched after you saw all title tracks so you don't need to watch everything under a panic of hearing something you haven't yet.
