Baby Joey was taken in by Second Chance Rescue after being found with partial limb amputations on his back legs, which made it very hard for him to walk. So when Merrick heard about Baby Joey’s story, we wanted to help. Inspired by Baby Joey’s tenaciously kind spirit, we worked with some amazing partners to help Baby Joey go through rehabilitation, be provided with custom-made prosthetics, and put on a path to finding a forever home.

Imagine the dog goes through all that pain having chopped limbs but he's in better hands now thanks god for people like this

I love people like this also I would never abdone a dog even if they had three legs or two I would find somebody to help him walk again I hope U guys do the same also having a few limbs doesn't change the dogs personality

I can't imagine what a person would get from torturing a dog or any living creature for that matter. The only consolation is that for every psychopath that harms another, there's more than a handful that do good in the world. That doesn't mean I dismiss the dirtbags but that people exist to clean-up the mess that these people leave behind. In my life I've adopted 5 shelter dogs and each brought their love to me. Wish we didn't have to have so many shelters but I admire those that reach out to save the pooches!

who ever did this heinous act of cutting the dogs legs off need to be removed from this world. They obviously cannot make a positive contribution to a civilized society.

Wonderful, caring people doing inspirational work. It's just sad that Joey had to go through a traumatic, cruel event to require their help. I'm sure the doctors and therapists would rather be out of the business of helping to rehabilitate these kinds of cases because that would mean people would not be maiming God's innocent creatures. In a perfect world.... unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world, dammit! Btw, pls make sure your animals are safe during the upcoming July 4th fireworks. Every year there are stories of monsters affixing fireworks to animals. Many times the explosions also scare animals into flight and they are lost. My friend's dog disappeared a couple of weeks ago during a move. Thank God he was microchipped. He was found 40 miles away and returned because he was chipped.
