Poor lil feller, but he went up when he should have stayed down 😆 And I had to laugh when you cut to Ma, 5 feet away from him, looking right at him 🤣 🌞

Ugh!!! Just one of these videos i would love to see no monkey respond to a screaming tantrum throwing little one..i do love how the mom is just lying there like nothing and when the baby sees her, he freak out even more cuz she doesn't care...👍

What species of monkey is that? I like that kt has short tail. Also, why those monkeys have seizures like movements when crying?
@grimmywizard

Pigtailed macaque. Seizures are a part of baby's behaviour, they can't take separation and literally go nuts

Not a tantrum. It's an evolutionary instinct for survival. At this age they are still living on moms ventrum with only very brief vacations of a few minutes off her body. If they are not within clinging distance, every cell in their body tells them YOU ARE BEING REJECTED AND ABANDONED LEFT BEHIND NO ONE LOVES YOU YOU WILL DIE OF PREDATION OR DEHYDRATION - DO SONETHING!!! at this age the infant has NO CHOICE but to react this way, its an programmed psychobiological response. For instance, even if a very brave infant who has been kidnapped by an adult female not her mom, and kidnapper roughs her up, drags her by tail a bit etc terrifying and may hurt but no damage. The brave baby decides to creep away from kidnapper; she can see mommy at 20 yards. She carefully climbs down kidnappers body; her feet dangle then touch grass. Now she is standing in grass besides kidnapper leaning on her still holding on with both hands.. she let's go with 1 hand so there is now only ONE point on contact with scary kidnapper (who very well may starve babies to death by keeping her from mom 3-4 days). puts 1 foot then the other and steps forward, releasing the last touch on her kidnappers fur, she did it! Shes free..... ...but- BAM!!! *TERROR ABANDONED DEATH LOST* She is filled with irrepressible terror that seems driven by something separate from her. Infant **flings**> herself back at kidnapper, clutching her hysterically as if her life depends on it, because she truly believes it does. Some human women describe the urge to have a baby as they approach 30 like, "its really feels like a primitive physical urge". Sometimes a patient on an SSRi will feel a suicidal impulse as a side effect of the meds but he describes it, but "it didnt feel like when I've had suicidal ideation; it felt ...neuro-chemical." These are metaphors for this baby macaques terror of imminent death at being suddenly alone, and compulsion to cling to someone - anyone--feel safe and secure. It is totally distinct from their temper tantrums which occur later in babyhood and usually around milk/teat access.

@@valenteleanos4774 omg man i just laughed so hard I snorted my coffee! Well. I certainly dont deny there are a few spoiled brats around here that could use extermination.

@ann schumacher wow. ok so Human women and human evolution has absolutely nothing to do with macaques. And young macaques babies will try to get away from kidnapper but as soon as they have 4 on the floor they instinctively freak out and try to cling to the same damn kidnapper. If the mom is super close and within line of sight they may be able to overcome it and run a yard or 2 to her, but often she can be 2 ft away and theyll still turn back to kidnapper once the instinct of being "free" hits, simply bcus she is closer. We have all seen this, people are constantly like "why do they do that".
@rickwrites2612

@TheCatsMeow PrettyHorses That is my entire point. Everything Ive said about them has nothing to do with humans. If it was a human it would be a tantrum. Because humans have more free will than wild animals.
