David is a male stump-tailed macaque; a monkey which is know for being temperamental (and frequently ferocious when adult). As he was a small and initially feeble infant he might well not have survived a "natural life" and he would certainly be at the very bottom of the pecking order... where it is highly unlikely that he would "much rather" be. Being a pet he doesn't have to fight (unsuccessfully) for his share of food. But his temperament makes him ready to do so.
@@amialal4510 Yes, he is cute now, but he might be a bit more of a problem as he gets older if they can't learn to keep him a little more calm. It's right that he has to sit quietly and wait for his food, I taught my dogs to do that, but it's not good to keep him waiting too long or to encourage him to get worked up. If he can't cope with watching himself on screen (monkeys usually don't recognise themselves so he will see the on-screen monkey as a rival for his owner's affections, and for food) then don't let him watch... find a different way to entertain him while he has to wait for food (or for anything else.
Why is it that David doesn't have any climbing gyms, play things like swings? Nothing?? If he climbs around its on your New Bikes! YOUR New Scooters??! All your New play things, but David? He has a damn hard wooden chair that he eats on and Folds his arms on! He (DAVID)is the reason YOU HAVE NEW TOYS, BUT he has Nothing! Your really making me pissed
Yes David is very cute, but when Stump-tailed macaques grow up, David can be 19-23 inches (48-58 cm) and weigh 16.5 to 20 pounds (7.5-9 kg). They also live to be 20-30 years old. Are you going to take care of David for that long?

Watching himself on screen agitates David. He does not understand it and he cannot wrap his mind around it. She has noticed the effect on him and is now doing it more frequently. Have mercy on the poor baby.
Stump tails are sassy little things. David did not understand that was him, instead saw another monkey on the screen and in his home and got territorial 😅 ❤ he's such a cutie!😊
I think David fears the cameraman! If that’s it get a new cameraman!! David is too sweet to have fear in his life..I love David and pray you all realize if you did not have him tat money would not be coming in… so please hold him, hug him and kiss him.. let him sit on your lap and don’t push him away when he comes to you.. he just wants to be shown love!💕

But he isn't always stressed. When he is playing in the yard, or riding on the back of his owner's moped he is quite calm and often seems to enjoy himself. It's often those we see most of who stress us out most... whether we are human or monkey.

David got him self a new chair, that’s why he’s King David cause he sits there with his arm crossed before mom came and picked him up, I can watch David videos all day long, he just needs to stop sucking his thumb still cause that why his top front teeth are not straight but it’s all good, his mom is always on him but she can’t be there 24/7, but he acts the same way every time when he watches the phone like in past and now, and I guess he don’t like to see himself on screen or thinks it’s some other monkey, I don’t think he likes it but he just wants to sit with or in his kings chair, king David is the best though, my favorite
