WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? WIPES OR TRADITIONAL BATHING? THE REASON I DONT JUST HOP IN A BATH OR SHOWER WITH HIM IS BC I THINK THE RESULT/AFFECT ON HIM WOULD BE TRAUMATIZING MORESO THAN HELPFUL. LET US KNOW BELOW! 🐒💕

Ollie The Monkey I wonder if you should integrate him in to water by getting him a bowl to wash his hands and splash. As he get more comfortable with sticking his hands in give him a shallow dish like a Pyrex the shorter the better so he can sit in it without it being deep. Start off small. get bigger baking dishes and wash your hands in it.

Ollie The Monkey I just thought of another idea. Cut a cloth lie fabric put it at his dish and let him wash you wash with a cloth. Give yourself a sponge bath. I was sure you said they do things cause they see others do it. Well sorry to tell ya monkey see monkey do.

I think the way you have been doing it is good. He doesn't like to get wet period. I'm sure someone will have a good idea. You are so great and raising him.

I would stick it out with baths not wipes. Your rewards make bath time fun & a positive experience. I don't think you should bath in a tub with him that's my personal opinion. Your doing a great job encouraging him persistence pays off. He will get there. He's one head strong little fella! Take care

After-bath treats are your best idea yet. Once he associates special foods with bathing, it should help his resistance to bathing! Good luck :)

I congratulate you on having all the patience in the world with Ollie. Please, don't pay attention to those who say that you let him walk all over you. Such a tiny creature as Ollie needs lots of patience. It's obvious that he is terrified of water. Perhaps it's an\d inborn fear due to his small size for which any body of water would pose a great threat. My suggestion is that you allow him to grow less afraid of water by associating water with play or anything that feels good to him. For example, place him in a very shallow pool of water and place his favorite food items in it and let him go and get them on his own. Fear is conquered only by approximation, slowly, a little at a time. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the encouragement, i really appreciate that. Yours is One of the best suggestions i have heard. It is kind of what i have been doing shallow and just in the room he likes to drinkcit n wash his hands so far! Ill keep at it! Thanks for watching us learn n grow! 🐒❤️

Poor Ollie he isn't so Jolly. It's really sad he gets so mad! What can you do? You need To clean his poo! Time will tell and maybe he won't yell! Snacks that you grow are the best. Eat and play and take a rest. Take care you are a great Dad!

Luke, I know lots of people in these comments are trying to be nice, but you need to show Ollie you're the boss and put him in the water for more than 5 seconds. His delicate parts can't be getting clean the proper way. Just a word of advice.

Wow, I’m so impressed with what you’re doing with the hydroponic gardening and the meal worms. So much healthier than packaged food. We grow our own fruits and vegetables as well. At least you know what you’re eating that way.

Try giving him a Massage while bathing him with a wet soapy sponge on the counter with a towel under him and raise him the same way. Take warm towel from the dryer. This should make him relax and look forward to a bath.

IMO the reward comes way too late. By then he has been dried off and diapered and does not connect the food to being bathed anymore. He can't make a mental connection between activity and reward if there are other steps in between. You would need to reward him during the actual activity. In small steps, like: Getting hands wet, one bite of reward. Not an entire bowl either, because that's how he is being fed. It's one action, one reward. Next action, another reward.

I think the thing is that Ollie just needs to put on his big boy squirrel monkey underoos and deal! A few minutes once a week isn’t going to kill him, even though he loudly insists it will! Keep it to the same method every time and you’ll both get it down.

Lol I love how he just wouldn’t give up on that label, so cute 🥰 I think bathing him in already soapy water seemed to work out a little better for him. Hopefully as he grows up he’ll get more used to baths and won’t fight it as much. I’ll keep my fingers crossed lol 😆🥰❤️🐵

What if you use the bath tub ... just put an inch of water , and put a bunch of plastic toys and balls . Maybe he will play with the toys even though he's getting wet , and associate water for fun time !

It's good that you put a towel in the water so that he has some footing...and that idea of the quick dip rinse seems a good way to not freak him out with a stream or spray of water on him! Wiping off is butt is a good idea before he goes into the water....maybe you just need to wipe him there and then go to the bath! Good job! That is a great hydro setup....At one point I was running 5 Aerogardens, but it got to be a pain....where did you get this kit? I'm not trying to grow tomatoes or peppers anymore, just greens...this looks easier to deal with with regard to the water reservoir... With sprouting, I started with a flat try thing, but also have the cyclinder/strainer units which are very easy...

Traditional bathing. Eventually Ollie will get used to it. He's still a baby:) Reminds me of my two cats, both now in animal heaven😪. It was a horror trying to bathe them. But afterward they were so soft and clean. Like Ollie.

I love planting, growing plants. Growing better organic foods. I live in apartment. So where did you get the hydroponic grow tube?. Growing your own meal worm and beetle colony stuff is soooo cool. Omg I love stuff like that.

Have tried maybe doing something he likes to do straight after a bath? I had a dog that did not like to take a bath so after a bath I would always take her for a walk, then she was more ready for the bath because after the bath she knew that she was going to go for a walk.

Try his lead on him and see if He is more relaxed! You could always take him in the shower in you swim suit and t shirt and wash him down. Must kidding! He did pretty well holding the middle of the sink! That big sink looks like an ocean to him! Sweet little guy!

I am sure like everyone els he eventually will just get threw a bath. Lots of love and talks to him treats , washing hands threw out the day ect. Anything repetitive will become just that repetition. We all dont love everything we do I'm sure with your love and hands on with him He will push threw.

Nice inside garden also! I am a mini homestead here myself. Outside more then anything at the moment, i can also say I'm finally running out of pickles from last season so sad. Have a minute come have a look i have some videos myself with my animals. I'm jelly over the mealworms tho i have too much going on to breed them at the moment but my chickens LOVE mealworms but there soooo um expensive here 🙈 Have a great day y'all!

I plan to eventually sell whole colony set ups bc I know many just don’t have the time to set it up and mealworms are SO expensive here too! They shouldn’t be because they’re so easy to raise. I’d love to have chickens again but don’t have enough room here with the gardens taking up most the outside space. This season I will be canning A LOT as my stock is pretty low compared to normal. I’m sure I’ll keep everyone updated on that and on the hydroponic set up! Thanks for watching us DezaRoo 🐵💕

Have you tried less water in the sink so that he can feel his feet on the bottom? Maybe with a small towel at the bottom?

Yupp I tried the towel at the bottom for him to grab on my last bath video and I also used less water with smaller tubs as well. Ollie just doesn’t like water 🙈🛁💕
