She is precious. I love that she loves the garden. Amazing what rain does for the garden. Lol. Just a question, but aren't elderberries supposed to be cooked first? For some reason I thought they were not supposed to be eaten raw. Strange.
Nope, raw is fine, just so long as they're fully ripe(black) and no stems. There's a miniscule (less than the amount naturally occurring in the same amount of dirt) amount of arsenic in unripe and stem parts, but cooking has no impact.
I think it's so wonderful that your kids can just go out to the garden and pick and eat fresh, healthy and organic snacks! Reminds me of the old days...
Happy birthday, Giovanna! We shared pregnancies together... My fourth little one was a girl also, arriving just a week or two before yours. Giovanna walks so well already! My little one is venturing out on two legs, but she is not so stable yet. I just love how Gia loves the garden. She's going to be a Gardener like her mama 💕
I find it interesting to see the similarities and differences between Giovanna and my daughter (our 5th child and rainbow baby) since their birthdays are 3 days apart. My daughter is also calmed by the garden and just loves being out there.
