Set out to cook up 500g for two meals, but it was that good I ate it in one meal. I left out the olives (not my favourite) and used reconstituted lemon juice, put in heaps of garlic. Being Aussie, loved the refreshing presentation as well. Thanks
Mate that turned out sensational, tender, juicy and full of flavour and I like the idea of throwing on the barbie as well with some green prawns. Thanks for the GREAT recipe. Recommended!!!!! , Geoff
It's good to make baby Octopus, making easy process, and how to clean it, and make some spicy food in a simple way, thanks mam. Iam watching from Kolkata, India 🇮🇳💯👍
Mate, how about telling us about the heads and the intestines and the ink and all the ugly stuff? I tried your recipe and suddenly I was there dissecting octopi without any idea what to do... But it was delicious in the end...
I live on the south coast in England. It’s not BBQ weather here, it’s winter. I use a slightly different method. I simmer the baby octopus for about 10 minutes with cider vinegar, bay leaf, garlic purée and white pepper. Then flash it in very hot grill pan or wok with a little oil, stirring it around for a few minutes it’s cooked perfectly. I guess the vinegar replaces the lemon. Otherwise broadly similar.
This did not turn out good .the potatoes were not cooked through and the octopus was chewy although I only cooked for no longer than 10 minutes. The directions could have been a bit clearer as far as timing goes
It's not too chewy and I was able to eat it but it wasn't very good, I did like the potatoes. Preparing the octopus was an unpleasant experience The ones I got all had there eyes still on them, some had gills and whatever else inside their heads, one even had a stomach with a fish inside I think I still will try again but next time just the legs
