Materials Needed:
Cotton fabric for the baby top and overall dress
Matching thread
Scissors
Measuring tape
Sewing machine
Buttons or snaps for closures
Iron and ironing board
Step 1: Taking Measurements
"First, measure the baby's chest, waist, and desired dress length. Add seam allowances to these measurements for cutting the fabric."
Step 2: Cutting the Fabric
"Using the measurements, cut out the pattern pieces for the baby top and overall dress. The top pattern includes front and back pieces, while the overall dress pattern consists of a front bib piece, two back pieces, and the skirt."
Step 3: Sewing the Baby Top
"Place the front and back top pieces right sides together. Pin the sides and shoulders, then stitch using a straight stitch. Press the seams open and fold and stitch the neckline and armholes to finish them neatly."
Step 4: Sewing the Overall Dress
