Hi, it's already inside....when you open it it extends and you can collapse it...no assembly, really easy..

@@KAYDENSKORNERbabymodel - No, they weren't already inside. This one, as with many others, had the rods outside. The instructions show to fold them in halve and put them through the centers, which will NOT work. I finally figured out there is a hole at the far end of each side that's got a folded over end you put the rod through. Whew. No wonder other people thought their bag was defective. Got it for my new grandbaby and my daughter couldn't figure it out either and gave up. I showed her what I found and all is well now. Thanks for the reply. : )
