Baby's Pierced Ears 

Mine were pierced when I was a baby and I have no memory of it but I have no regrets, I'm glad my mom got them for me. ❤

@@BenjiXAddictX4Ever Good for you, but I wouldn't do that to a baby. Think about it: people keep telling you that a tattoo is for life and to be careful with what you chose, yet having your ears pierced when you aren't even able to talk is no biggie? I don't find the logic in that.

@@ainhoagarrido3965 well you dont have to wear earrings and it'll eventually close up, they aren't very noticeable at all if you dont make them. comparing them to a tattoo to me is a bit insane.

It's sometimes cultural stuff you know. Not just for the look all my former schools has rules that ban you from wearing anything except earing. I got mine when I was so young I use to think all bay girls are born wearing it. But no trauma here. Seriously though. Their baby, they'll cry for few mimutes and then forget everything that happened. Once they grow up they'll be asking something like "mommy why do girls born with earings?".

@@CrystalVlogss The poor baby! It you’re decision. But i dont think laughing at a baby in pain is funny. Its a very young age and it should maby be done when their 5-6 years or when they can handle such pain. As a person whit earrings i think it shouldnt be that young to take piercings in air i think it should be atleast 5 yr old or older.

They didn’t laugh because of the baby was in pain though. It’s the kind of laugh when babies do something cute. Sometimes my one year niece fell on the floor and I start to laugh. Not because she fell but because I found it cute and I know it wasn’t too dangerous. The laught in this video wasn’t that deep to be upset about. The person laughing knew the baby wasn’t in danger. Because if the baby was in danger they wouldn’t be laughing. Most importantly they wouldn’t even be there.

@@rahayangu1998. I bet the baby doesn’t know about your “theory”. . If what you wrote was true, then the baby perceives mum being cheerful when he/she does something cute, and also when he/she is in pain. Awful and confusing for the baby, don’t you think? Not easy to learn compassion either.

They didn't start laughing immediately after the piercing gun went through her ears. They started laughing after she stopped crying.

They were certainly not laughing because the baby girl was in pain. They thought it was cute and they knew she was fine. They knew she was being well taken care of. Do you know how you usually spend time with an infant and he/she clumsily falls and then the child cries, but you start laughing. You do not laugh because it "looks" as if the baby just injured himself/herself, but because it looks cute because the child is too young and is new to the world, still physically and psychologically developing.

Both of my children who are now 7 and 11 love that I got theirs ears pierced as babies. They said they do not even remember getting it done and that if they were to have the option to do it now at their ages they would not want it done because they would be scared it would hurt.

Everyone is an individual and some people never end up wanting pierced ears, stop treating pierced ears as some kind of default. And as someone pointed out in another reply, your other kids might only "like" their pierced ears because they already had them and they simply don't know anything else; they were never given the choice to decide for themselves. You even said it yourself - they wouldn't choose to do it if it hadn't already been done. "If I know full well that someone won't consent to something when they're old enough to consent, it's more convenient and therefore better to just do it at an age where they can't consent" isn't the argument you think it is. And I know you might say "they can still decide to just take the earrings out", but that's not the issue here. The issue is that you've made a permanent body modification on babies who can't consent - the ear lobe is never the same again after piercing, even if they close up. This is especially true of piercing with a gun because of the way it ruptures the skin in a way that's much more damaging than a needle (please do some research into this. If you're going to pierce your children's ears at least have the courtesy to do it with the proper, safe method, which is a needle. And if no piercer will agree to needle pierce a baby, maybe that's your sign that you shouldn't be doing it?). I got my ears pierced with a gun over 10 years ago and my ear lobes are still really messed up from it. The issue isn't with the appearance of earrings in and of itself, but with a permanent hole being made on someone who can't consent, as well as the pain and risk of infection and other complications. Edit: only just noticed how old this video is and realised that the 7 year old you mentioned is actually the baby in the video, not another kid. My point still stands though.

In India it's almost mandatory ..mother and mother in law both won't accept girls without piercing 😂😂

This entire video made me mad lol. It's obviously not a cultural practice and they went to a nasty Claire's-type place with piercing guns that cause problems later in life.

Plus let them have something they can choose to do on their own. Getting their ears pierced as their own decision is a great way to teach them some responsibility that goes along with it☺️

@@sunnatirao8422 I don't think that is necessarily true. I had my daughter's ears pierced at 4mths. Most of the time, remember, MOST of the time, it is the popping sound that scares them. I had mine done when I was 17yrs old and that is what I found out. They felt "hot" also, just for a few minutes.

I barley remeber when i got my peircing. I had my piercing since like 2 months is what my mom told me. I probs cried but ion rember a thing

@@someperson4281 babies still don't have their consciousness developed, they need help with everything, technically they're "forced" into everything their parents think is good for them until they're capable of taking their own decisions. There's nothing inherently wrong with piercings, and if the baby doesn't like it after growing up it can stop wearing ornaments there and the hole will heal on it's own, simple. Idk why there is such a big fuss about piercings. If this was about circumcision I would've considered, but there's nothing wrong with piercing, ppl are over-exaggerating it.

Not too young at all. It’s actually better to do it young to avoid infection because us parents take care of the healing process. And she don’t remember the pain at all.

@WayRay007 How so, it’s her choice if she wants to pierce the ears of her baby, sure it will hurt but it would also hurt the kid if she did it when she was 5 years old. Instead, her children no longer even remember this pain and as she said they are happy to have their ears pierced. It’s no big deal.

The reason why some people do it at a young age is cuz the baby will not play with it and when they are older they will play with it
