They leave the babies behind when the herd is going for a long walk to grazing hills or pastures. The little ones will just slow down the herd and attract predators. They will eventually reunite with their mothers when they come back loaded with milk.
This is so humane which I hope can be adapted in the western world. It’s for the safety of the young ones and a dog is kept to guard them. They do not deprive the babies of their mother as the mother returns having grazed well. It’s like a sheep nursery 😃
Are all the babies in the pen sheep and goats or are they only sheep? Their voices sound different and I live in America so I don't know. You all hard work so much and the dog is tired too. I love this
Do the baby sheep know which one is their mother ? Obviously when the sheep come back from grazing , the kids will be really hungry so will they go to any sheep for milk or will they be able to recognize their moms or do the moms recognize their babies ?
Its probably lovely to view from a distance''but as I admire, love, and romanticize ''fresh air, animals, back to basic ''and I could live without every electronic gadget''i know my health,I am 61 ,health problems etc that we in the west have NHS ''wouldn't last five minutes''where Nepalese haven't been crushed, with taxes, rents rates political correctness etc etc''there hardy rugged life, western people would disappear'
Interesting video, but I didn’t like the bit at the beginning when the shepherdess rolled the cage at the sleeping dog, to stop the cage from rolling down the hill.
