I feel SO excited to meet this baby AH! Can’t believe we’re getting so close 🥰🥺 Also, just saw a few comment about SIDS and thought I’d put this here instead of answering every comment. Dan and I have done a ton of research about it, don’t worry! We also have a bassinet in our bedroom right next to our bed, so baby won’t be in his crib for the first few months. We’ve been taking baby sleep classes, breastfeeding classes, etc + have a doula that will be with us post birth as well. I thank you guys for your worry, but there is no need to 🤗 Most first time parents don’t know what they’re doing and that’s why we do a ton of research first and then learn as we go! 💕

Elise van der Zweep wow this is the first time I’ve ever read a comment like this! I normally get so much hate on sponsored videos which is so strange to me because it comes with the job! Besides I’m only promoting products I would typically promote anyways, but getting paid on top of it. I think maybe some influencers give it a bad rep because you can tell they just do things for money and they don’t actually use the product (ugh 🙄). I could never do that. Wouldn’t be able to sleep at night! But thanks for this!! I’m sure many people agree with you, they just aren’t as vocal as the ones who disagree 🤷🏼♀️

Hey Alex, just wondering what your plan is for sleeping arrangements for when the baby arrives? Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is a really scary thing that can happen to babies under a year old. Hopefully you’ve done some research into this and don’t keep the baby in their nursery by themselves for the first three-six months since that is when it’s most likely to happen. Just wanted to give you a heads up incase you didn’t know about it. Much love and luck to your future ❤️👶🏼
I wouldnt put baby in crib right away. I would recommend to get a bassinet or a dockatot so you can have baby next to you for a least the first 6 months. It reduces risk of SIDS and its gonna make it A LOT easier for you especially if you are breastfeeding. Also dont hesitate to supplement with formula until your milk comes in. No one told me your milk doesn’t come in for about 4 days, so i was unknowingly not feeding my baby as a first time mom. ( i still put her to my breast and did skin to skin, but i would make sure to give her formula afterwards)
Probably either IG or YT! It’s hard to say which one because I really don’t know how my labor and delivery will go. If things go smooth, I’d love to be able to make a baby name reveal video or include the name in the birth video. But if I need a lot of time to recover then I don’t want to stress about having to edit and upload a video right away, so I’d prob just announce it on IG. I guess it really depends haha
noises and sounds in toys are super important for development! i hope you can find some “aesthetically pleasing” toys that aid in the growth of your baby!! 💓
TJ hahaha we’re not buying toys for aesthetic purposes! We’ve done a ton of research on how electronic toys can be too overstimulating for children under the age of two and it’s just the way we want to raise our children personally :) Books/colours/patterns are super awesome and just as stimulating for development for this age
Sophie la giraffe is the best thing ever both my brother and I had it when we were babies it last super long, we throw them away a couple years ago I'm 21 lol
sound machines are great for at home. But if your child is ever going to daycare or anywhere where it doesn’t have the sound machine it will have a really hard time falling asleep. It’s easier to just get them used to falling asleep without in the long run. One less thing to haul on holiday.
