Here's a commercial for Baby Skates - the roller-skating doll - by Mattel.
Features Emily Schulman - the girl that played Harriet, the red-haired next door neighbor on the show Small Wonder. The other girl (who owns Baby Skates) is played by Jenny Lewis from "The Wizard".
This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, December 9th 1983 during the 7:00 to 7:30pm half-hour. (1982 Copyright)

I know the first red head is "Harriett" from 'Small Wonder.' I use to love that show as a child!

I LOVED SMALL WONDER.IT'S MAKE ME LAUGH BY WATCHING HARRIETT ,BEING NOSEY AND LOVED OF JAMIE LAWSON.MARIAH,THEY SHOWING RERUNS OF SMALL WONDER ON RU-vid.Emily Schulman-Webster married with 4 children and will turned 40 on Aug 17th this year.

She is a Great Actress!. You Can't in what's only my Opinion of course. Say that about all Child Actor's. She has that Natural Charisma. That Charm. That Doesn't Appear in some Child Actor's. I never thought that Jason Bateman had that. But his Sister Justine Bateman did. I never Saw the Big Deal with Jason Bateman or Scott Baio. I like Emily Schulman,Tiffany Brissette,Jerry Supiran,and a Host of others. The Child Actor who Played Jamie Lawson's Best Friend Reggie was also Very Good on Small Wonder. And the Actor who Played Warren Enright on Small Wonder was Good too.

Actually its the second red head is the Harriet from Small Wonder. Right show, but wrong girl. The first red-head is at 0:01 seconds and LOOKS nothing like Harriet. The second red head on the right at 0:10 with the widened expression played Small Wonders Harriet. So she did a commercial before small wonder? I am not surprised. It only makes sense, she was comfortable around the cameras. Right TV show, wrong child. The first one I suppose might be the girl who played Jenny Lewis would have to be. But seriously. The kid at the age of 8 looks totally different from Jenny Lewis. I have a legal copy of the Wizard on DVD. They look very different so I am having trouble believing...But...I suppose. The time frame is right. 1982 the girl here is approximately 7. 1989 is 7 years later. 14. Check please. Anyway, the time and growth of a 14 year old could make a gangly girl. the hair is similarly red, but the proposed 1989 has thicker red hair and more auburn. I suppose it could change. The face wear is the facial con-textures is similar...okay I am sold the one on the right the first one at 0:01 could be Jenny Lewis. But I know for sure the second one is Emily...Shes hardly larger and doing all those facial movements in the commercial as Harriet.

0:09 I like how Emily gets a close up here. The director of the commercial realized that Emily has a really expressive face and enthusiastic energy about her. She would go on to put that to good use during Small Wonder. Her acting quickly made her a highlight on that show. You know, I always thought that Emily's hairdo was something she only wore for Small Wonder. But no, apparently it's her preferred hairdo. She was 7 or 8 when Small Wonder began, so she has to be 5 or 6 in this commercial. Cute kid! Tiffany Brissette (Vicki from Small Wonder) was doing commercials around this time too. She was in a commercial for Beatrice Foods corp. Baby Skates was a quaint little doll. You don't see anything like that being sold in toy stores anymore. Now it's video game this and tablet that.

Now you need a Chucky doll to accompany baby skates.nobody wants to get lonely.even dolls get lonely too i think.maybe dolls don't have a human life but i do believe it has spirit.that is why people talk to their dolls,sometimes.GOD is everywhere.😇

What does this girl do now I remember her on all kinds of TV shows and commercials as a kid I guess we were the same age actually I wonder if actors like her know how many kids feel like they grew up with them
