Sadly, they don't accept. It can be acceptable in big metro cities and cities, but rural India and small towns homosexuality is still considered as some kind of flaw. Transgender people of India are worst affected, forced to beg in trains, and traffic signal crossings, because no one gives jobs, even if they have a degree. Gay men and women are forced to marry, in order to comply with societal norms. And even if your parents are accepting and loving, the neighborhood may not. Conversion therapy is also rampant in India.

OK, I saw this long back, don't remember if I commented or not . So here goes: absolutely loved it. So realistic and motivating without any comic BS. We need more movies like this in India. So much better than all the horrific so-called funny gay scenes in KJ blockbuster. I think those did more damage than good.
