Idimaster272 Some animals literally depend on friendship to survive. I.e.: Bats, especially vampire bats, since female bats will feed even unrelated female bats blood if they didn't manage to get any since if they don't get any for two days and nights they die. The bats they help will remember this and be much more likely to help the bat that helped them if they end up going hungry. Wolves and lycaons, who depend on their pack. Lions who are chased out of the Pride by their fathers if they are male. Their brothers go with them so they have a better chance, sometimes even their sisters even though they don't get chased out just because of how strong the bond can get. And why would humans be able to have friendships but not any other animal?

I cried watching this episode on NatGeo. The mother's love was so immense, she did everything for her son (Neo), putting herself in danger and eventually killed by a croc while trying go back and save her son. Neo survived and has learned everything from her great loving mom: determination, persistence, perseverance, knowledge and surviving skills (and possibly love).

Reminds me of a true story - In a farmhouse in old india - the tigers were always afraid of and submissive towards the dogs. They had both been brought up together. When young , the tigers were bullied by the dogs, so even when fully grown and now much bigger than the dogs, they were always afraid of the dogs
