This reminds me when my 3 year old sister found my father's shotgun while my parents were out. My father had a (i'm fairly certain) loaded shotgun in his bedroom. I was maybe 12, and I found my sister in the living room with the gun, and I can only assume she managed to drag the gun from my parents room. I approached my sister, cautious, while she giggled and fiddled with the various moving parts on the gun (the sight, safety, *trigger*). She noticed me, and pointed the gun at me (no, she couldn't get it off the ground, but it was still pointing in my direction!). It was at this moment that I noticed the safety was off. I didn't know too much about guns at the time, but I knew that the trigger made the gun shoot, and the safety prevented the trigger from working... so try to imagine how I felt. It ended with me kind of skipping side to side as my sister swiveled the gun to keep pointing it at me, and finally I just lunged and grabbed the gun. I was so scared, but I turned the safety back on, and put the gun back in my parents room. And still, my parents do not know of this event. Thanks for reading!~
