I just watched Babyface's interview with Genius. He said he wrote this song for Kenny G album and Luther was supposed to sing it. Luther heard this song, he liked it, but didn't want to record it. Babyface felt disappointed LOL Kenny then asked Babyface to sing it. Tommy Motola heard it and said: "this is your record". Mariah also loved it and wanted to do the background vocal. Each song has its own destiny and Babyface was right to sing this. I love this song so much 💙

This song made for a beautiful lullaby, even before my baby girl was born I sang it to her often. Found out I was pregnant in late June, it sure felt like Christmas and her february birthday sure had the sun shining on my world like springtime in winter... After several failed pregnancies, I just knew this one would be my miracle!! She still loves her lullaby, but she's 20 now so we call it our song... In 2017, we saw Babyface in concert and sang it to each other. Shortly after she became a first responder while still in high school and now she's a soldier. She's truly something, yes she is. Babyface, thank you for truly giving us so much of yourself thru the music and thru the voices of the many you wrote for❤

Been listening to this song for a long time already. I love Babyface's voice but Mariah's whispers, harmonies and belts are soooo beautiful. Mariah is a great back up singer. Probably because she was trained by experience especially when she was in her teens.
