In his first-ever collaboration with a full orchestra, the 11-time Grammy® winner and 2017 inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds joined the NSO to perform some of the greatest R&B and pop hits he's brought to life as a singer, songwriter, and producer.

Love that he kept Mariah's backing vocal track for the live version. I also love that he took out her belted part and did his own version at 3:28. Also, that belt at 4:37 was awesome! Babyface is truly a legend.

Nope . . . less is more --- too much, too much, too much! The orchestra members seem to be bored and thinking "this music is not taxing at all . . . I want Stradivarius!" #stayinbetweenthelines

Agreed. Orchestras can be amazing IF they have the right feel. But when they just read parts and play by numbers, ugh Back in the day I always preferred playing with my core bandmates for RnB tunes. Orchestras follow their conductor, not the groove.

All of you guys who are complimenting this are obviously not fans of his. If you were true fans, you could admit that this rendition suffered a host of errors and mistakes that you would not expect to hear from Babyface. Maybe they didn’t have time for a sound check, or his monitors were turned down... Either way, this performance suffered as a result.
