Babylon 5's success was certainly an impressive change from the vast wake of Star Trek at the time. There are Babylon 5 reviews on a WordPress site called The View From The Junkyard that you might want to check out.

So do I. His death was very sad. And speaking as someone who has long suffered from severe mental illness, I have great empathy for what it must have been like for him.

One of my favorite moments in all of Science fiction... a great moment in TV Science fiction and no fiction. We go to the Stars because we must. Don't keep all your eggs in one basket, a saying as old as our culture, and true, too.

I still find it baffling that not only was Marilyn Monroe included in the same list as Einstein and Lao Tzu, but she was the very first name he mentioned. In the future do they discover some hidden philosophical text that she wrote in secret that revolutionizes our understanding of the universe and humanity's place in it?

You could as easily name ...Steve Irwin. Penn and Teller, or Cleopatra, or King Arthur, or Daffy Duck. Christopher Columbus, General Rommell, Gilgamesh or Gilligan. Robin Hood, Weird Al Yankovic, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jean Luc Picard, and J. Michael Straczynski... It's not about how great someone was, how smart a scientist or how wise a philosopher, or even how real a person was. When the sun burns out, and the Earth is consumed in its nova, all of them will be gone. Unless we go to the stars. :)
