Babylon 5 The Drakh Mothership 

One of my least favoured designs in the show. Remember the Liberator from Blake's 7? That looked cool, the Excalibur, not so much.

its canonically 3000 aparently... but no matter.. the Victory class used a Vorlon based main weapon wich packs a hell of punch.. probably could devastate half a continent in one shot a 60km ship is not that far feetched

It is canon, just never shown. I doubt it was modeled at the time.

It was shown from various angles in Crusade, but it's exact size and shape was kinda nebulous. But they would have to be HUGE to blot out the stars the way the escaping "blobs" did, before Za'Ha'Dum exploded.

@@ktt9139 Crusade was shit on all levels, I didn't watch it all. I'm old and don't recall it being in A Call To Arms, but I changed the description, because it was not in the original series. Cheers guys.

@@ktt9139 I don't think it was in Call to Arms. But it was in the series/season finale of Crusade.

Only b/c I rendered it on it's own this time. Future vids may well do just that. The point of this video was to honour its original creator and the modeler.

@@SpacialKatana Oh I wasn't criticizing your work! The scale wasn't conveyed in the original show either. The texture is too 'big' for what is supposed to be a vast ship. The original B5 model conveys a sense of scale because of the incredible texture work; this looks like something that was generated quickly in PhotoShop using a Perlin noise filter (which given the time constraints of a the TV schedule, it probably was).

She smoked a cruiser, a lot smaller.

@@tonyhoban6600 I really would loved JMS to tell that part of the story (the final stages of the Drakh war and the their fall and the retake of the Centauri Republic) instead of more and more pointless standalone stories.. specially now that they finally acepted using animation and voice recasting wich could allow them to use virtually ALL the characters (like they are doing in the road back home)

@@sparrowlt Not really a fan of the animation to be honest but something new and different would be great. He should continue the story after the war. More leftover tech. Crusade was kind of getting there but they got cut off before they could get going.
