This is soo much better than other christian rock because.. 1. Theres more than four chords 2. Theres not like fifteen people on one stage, these guys only need four to get an even better sound 3. Theres the sweetest organ parts ever!
Lyrics: We build towers made of steel But that won't connect Heaven and the ground These days money not love Is the thing that makes this world go round We've got no more faith in our foundation And this base ain't strong at all This world is just an illusion And one day soon Babylon is gonna fall Take a look around and see Why aren't we people living in unity? Self-serving humans we'll always be Indulging our humanity
Cool band, I heard There is a Way on christian radio and I was caught instantly. I could not wait to get home to look them up. I have been listening in on their different songs and I love them. I will introduce my son because he likes all genre of christian music and I know he will love this group. Come to Atlanta, GA... It is sort of blusy, but sounds good because of the lyrics.
I agree w/you.When I was coming up in the 80's I was really into many different Christian rock bands and a lot of the older folks didn't see them as a good thing.I was in a band in 87-89 called "Insideout" and we were looked at as rebels, even though our lyrics were biblically solid and people were receiving Jesus. But today we have a kind of "ME" theology where we ask God to do what he can for "Us" instead of looking to help others first. Not all but a lot of music echoes this type of thinking.
@RicoIsCool23 I am there with you. Being a Christian - what lacks in Christian pop / rock is...the good music part. If you take the message away - there's is so little left. This is really a terrific band - by the way - there's a message also! Altogether - quite unique combination....
4. RYTHM!... that organ part is at least as funky as stevie wonder. Guitarist is also very rythmic. 5. More creativity and improvisations 6. The instruments are singing too.. not only the lead singer. 7. Noel has a nice hat:P
I'm saying they sound sincere. Also, that they are not afraid to invoke the Lords name and or title, instead of using ambiguous terms of endearment. Apples and oranges .
