Please come back and share with us the new songs from latest album The Other One, they're not so happy like this because it's a concept album showing another side of BM but you're gonna enjoy it either way. We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this recently at Summer Sonic and hopefully they will do the same at Aftershock, Louder Than Life or Blue Ridge Rock and get the crowd going nuts with this. It's their first song released with this new BM reborn and formation. Some of us already heard this a couple of days ago because they premiere this at Apocrypha - Another One show, and someone leaked this on a fancam, it's all good, it was fun and really unexpected but everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it. The song title is Metali!! (all caps) and you can hear it in the spoken section when one them (MomoMetal) is doing the Kabuki moves style. Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festival when carry the shrines, similar to sore and soya you can hear in Megitsune and Karate. I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts. Many are finding Indian vibes, I myself got Punjabi MC - Knight Rider vibes the moment I heard that intro, only thing here is with a traditional Japanese instrument called shamizen they used in Megitsune too. The title is Metali. It is a Kanji contraction of Metal and Matsuri, which is a festival. I am not surprised that the translators had problems, since it is not a real word

Welcome back and great reaction.🤘🦊 I think you got some long comments under your 'Metal Kingdom' reaction explaining who BABYMETAL are and their history etc. Since then they have revealed the new third member Momoko Okazaki (Momometal). This was Momometal's first official video as a member and it was her doing the kabuki theatre part in the middle. If you are going to see them at a festival you will see for yourselves that they are even better live than they are in the official videos. You may want to listen to a few more songs (ideally watch live performance videos) to get a better idea of what to expect - and to learn the crowd chants and choreo so you can really join in.
If you like Jinjer, another band you should check out at Blue Ridge is Hanabie (pronounced ha-na-bee-ay). TOUSOU is one of their heavier songs. It's like Babymetal meets Jinjer. Their music videos are always fun.
If you want to go with collabs, theres a new release with Electric Callboy called Ratatata. Also there's one with F. Hero and Bodyslam-Leave It All Behind.
There has been only one serious collaboration involving BabyMetal That was one they did with a number of other performers including Yoshiki of X- Japan. The song is Endless Rain. Right in the middle of the pandemic.
Nice reaction. As they say expect the unexpected. But I've come to expect a couple of things. great songs, Su's incredible voice, The Power of Moa's dimples, which only brings on her statement of Kawaii beats all. And now Momometals added talents to Babymetal. I can't wait for a pro shot live of this song. When they performed this just be for the release of the song the Kamiband did a cool intro to the song. Kamiband intro automatically makes the song extra cool. That is just the way it is. Enjoy the rest of your journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Original members Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, lead singer, 25) and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi, backup vocals and dance, 24) started the group with now former member Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno, backup vocals and dance, 24) in 2010 when they were 12 and 11 years old. No matter the size of the crowd a Babymetal performance is awesome. I've seen them six times now and every one of those concerts/festivals has been amazing. You'll have a great time, and get yourself that barrier position if you can because a smile from any of the three super ladies will make your year, and the music in person will melt your face, so so heavy! The Fox hole can be tricky, but if you want a good song to react to, check their song "Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live" (invite only arena, epic intro showcasing the Kami band members, more of a serious song, no cheerleading in this one).
There's a video with Rob Halford of Judist Priest and Babymetal together singing breaking the law and Painkiller also. Heavy metalists love Babymetal.👍
This is the first Babymetal music video with the new Babymetal official member, Momometal. She's the one that had that little solo in the middle of the song. That was also her voice. In terms of performances, Babymetal is always better live. Their on a whole new level though when they perform at Japanese venues as they get to REALLY pull out all the stops with the stage set-ups and stuff like that, as you saw in your reaction to their song, Metal Kingdom. Speaking of which, it's been a hot minute since you did a Babymetal reaction! I actually subbed to your channel because I enjoyed your reaction to their stuff, so hoping for more Babymetal stuff again soon lol Another band you will probably enjoy that is more full-on metal is Amon Amarth if you haven't heard of them yet. AMAZING band. I've got a bunch more, they they don't really have live recordings or anything as they were more before all that became more of a thing. Some great bands like Edge of Sanity, Morgoth, At the Gates, Samael, and many more. If you want more pure vocal talent that isn't metal but is amazing to listen to, then I'd recommend a Filipina named Morissette Amon. I'd recommend anything from the Wish Bus like Never Enough and Rise Up. She has tons of stuff out there and is a hidden gem that is starting to finally gain more popularity like she deserves. Anyhow, can't wait to see more reactions from you guys, keep it up :)
they are so fun live. got my tix to brrf the day they were announced. i hope to close out the festival with lamb of god - babymetal - pantera! what a way to end!! i hope they don't overlap. jinjer is really good also and there is another female japanese group thats gonna be there called hanabie. first time in the states. looking forward to see them as well. can't wait!!
thanks for the reaction. FYI Tom Morello isn't the first to work with Babymetal. A few other names: DragonForce, Rob Halford/Judas Priest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sabaton, Metallica, Guns n' Roses, Lady Gaga, Bring Me the Horizon, etc.
Definitely see Babymetal. But go see Hanabie too at Blueridge. Hanabie is fire. If you want to react to Hanabie pick any music video. It doesn't matter. They're all fire.
BABYMETAL is neither J-Rock nor J-Metal. BABYMETAL itself is a genre. And there has only been BABYMETAL in this genre for more than 10 years. At least Metallica, Korn, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, Guns N' Roses, DragonForce, Rob Halford and Rob Zombie would recognised BABYMETAL as a top band. All of BABYMETAL's songs are different, so much so that you could say that they are all different genres. If I were to recommend to musicians, these are the songs I would recommend to them. Please refer to this for help when other people request it. You want to know if they are similar live as on record? Well, not at all.. BABYMETAL live is 1000x better and I thionk that if ou like it now, after Blue Ridge you may be obsessed 😁 I've seen them live in May for the first time (sadly just as special guest on Sabaton's tour, so they played only 7 songs) and it was the best experience in my life.. so I will be travelling to two different countries to see them again in November on their headline tour (Vienna and Berlin) and I've never traveled abroad for the concert before
BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start.
