BABYMETAL is special and one of a kind. No other band has ever made me so happy and proud. 🤘🦊🤘

When you hear about the hard work and dedication from these girls it's easy to understand why fans can get a bit testy when they are dismissed as just 'little girls with squeaky voices'. It's strange being so proud of people I have never met and never will meet but it's impossible not to be. BTW, I have subscribed now finally.

Hard working girls. When people see the mega concerts, a lot of haters think they were manufactured and that it was just given to them. They don't see the early years, where they had to perform in food courts wearing borrowed clothes, and can't afford a real band. They've earned every recognition/award they've gotten. mad respects. 🤘🦊🤘

Great reaction, thanks for doing this and so good to see you finding out so much more about them, just as we have all done. I thought I was a fan of bands in the past, but I've never come across a band where I took any more than a passing interest in their background and origins before BABYMETAL and, just like you, I am so proud of what they have achieved, who they are, how hard they have worked and their passion for what they do. Unfortunately I can only subscribe once, so I can't add to the numbers you need to get you to 4k, but I wish you luck (I want to see those Babymetal reactions too) and a happy new year. Look for the links on the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel to find the Legend M performance of 'Headbanger' (or 'Moabanger') to see that special performance where Su hands her the mic to celebrate her 20th birthday and coming of age.

Just watched your vid again and wanted to mention one more thing. Even though Sakura Gakuin's front was school themed, the Amuse Talent Agency behind it still taught the girls how to be experienced in the entertainment industry. They weren't just some normal idol group, the girls were put into situations and events that teaches them many skills used in the industry, and in life. Including those that bond them together through various shared experiences. All of the girls of Sakura Gakuin are pretty close, even after they've graduated. And all of the new girls idolize and respect all of the previous graduates and totally fangirl over them whenever they see them. I recommend you watch a few of the Sakura Gakuin videos and you can see and 'feel' the bond the girls have together on and off camera.

Thank you for taking the time to watch this great guide and taking us along for the ride. It takes a bit of diving before you can actually learn to appreciate their talent, hard work and most important of all their positivity. Thanks for bringing us this video. I have seen it a dozen or more times and find something new in each viewing. You are so right to highlight the work ethic of the whole Babymetal team. From a choreo standpoint alone, imagine how the choreo has to be rejigged for each stage and venue. Bigger stages and venues require an expansion of the dancing while smaller venues need to have the dance reduced and reset. Complicating this is that Babymetal often use multiple stages at the one venue with runways and bridges and mini-stages. This not only requires redesigning the choreo and relearning the new setup, but the instrumentals need to be adjusted to allow the longer or shorter shorter timeframes that it takes for the girls to get into position for the next choreo phase or transition. This is an incredible amount of work and preparation. Keep up the great work. I would love to help get your subscriptions up, but I can only subscribe once and I did that ages ago.

Now you understand whey the ONE is extremely protective and proud of the girls. We're thankful the Fox God revealed them to us. Most have watch them grow from kawaii pre-teens idols, into beautiful 20+ yo women; having followed their journey, both good and bad throughout. After Yui departed, Amuse wanted to disband Babymetal. But Su-metal and Moametal, with Kobametal's support, took ownership of Babymetal and continued forging their own path. The girls have earned everything they achieved with the help and support of the Babymetal organization and the ONE. [Subscribed, enjoy your approach in reacting to the various performers.]

That kind of crowd tend to be extremely harsh with bands that doesn't match their expectations. And by that I mean they can be absolutely disgusting... you know... Great reaction, lots to learn about Babymetal and it's origin... 4:38 the group does exist as a teaching tool: to further develop the girl's talents or discover new talents they might have in: modeling, acting, singing, dancing, hosting, doing interviews and being interviewed, etc. Anything in the spotlights of the broader entertainment industry really.

Every time I watch their performance at Sonisphere in 2014, which was their first Metal fest appearance outside Japan and their breakout gig in the west, I feel an irrational sense of pride. It's like watching the grandkids getting their degree certificate or something. The thing is, I've watched their final song from that day many, many times and still have the same feeling at the end every time. The phenomenon which is Babymetal exudes nothing but pure love and positivity that , I believe, also made a lot of haters , who were more into the Satan ruling the world style. Positivity is quite an unknown concept for some in the metal genre. I'm glad you watched this guide , and hopefully more will , so people understand their history better. I subscribed early on in this video, but assuming you do reach your goal, if you haven’t already (I forget who has done what) react to BABYMETAL Ijime,DameZettai from Sonisphere 2014. You mention their work ethic, and that resonates with me. I have no musical talent or ambition, but really, to work with anyone in my line of work who is also giving a good effort is something of a dream for me. This is probably what I most admire about Su, Moa and Yui… and really everyone involved with the project.

Nicely done. Moa refers to them as team Babymetal. Because of how many people it takes to make what they do possible. Babymetal also thinks of the audience as part of Babymetal which is why they say "We Are Babymetal" at the end of their shows. Babymetal learned to understand metal from watching Metallica. Which I think is when Babymetal opened for them. A well learned lesson from the Metal Masters. Rob Halford told them to stay metal. Which a few years later Babymetal would use as a tag at the end of messages during lockdown. Stay Safe Stay Metal. They've worked so hard to get where they are today even Rob Zombie has talked about their work ethic. There's a video from their Sakura Gakuin days that shows them from when a show didn't go to well. Every time I see it, I can almost hear Su saying to herself never again. Not to say things haven't gone wrong at their shows. Yui fell off the stage their first time at Budokan, Moa also at Budokan turned an ankle. Su herself has slipped. But they still gave an incredible show. Their first time performing at the Budokan didn't go the way anyone dreams it. Which is why the 10 shows they did at the Budokan for their 10 years of Babymetal was special for them. They got to do it the way they dreamed it. Lastly just an update. Riho released a solo jpop album back in August of 2021. Kano's group @1five release their jpop album. Momoko entered a Korean Pop competition. she did ok but didn't win. Personally, Momoko had done so many shows with Babymetal before they went on break or sealed as they call it. I was hoping she would get to be a new member of Babymetal. What happens next Only The Fox god Knows. See You

Babymetal is the perfect band for me , nothing come close to the level of Babymetal as a band because they have two element that me like the most which is Metal and Anime.

Yes, these girls are talented, good looking, good on the inside, hard working, and blessed with a conscientious agency & the producer, so it's one big metal entertainment created by a group of high-level professionals. But the last ten years of them, have not been a smooth road. I will support them from now too. Please react to them more. Thank you from Japan.

I'm glad you watched this. The more you learn about BM, the more you will admire how much work they put into everything they do. Imagine being in an idol group AND going to regular school every day. And many of the girls either lived in the dorms with other Amuse Kids or commuted, as what Suzuka did for a while before she moved to Tokyo. She commuted to and from Hiroshima every weekend, and still continued to do her Sakura Gakuin 'lessons' throughout the week on her own. Her dedication to her work is beyond anything I've ever seen in a youngster before, and still be able to remain humble, sweet, and appreciative of everything that's happened to her. For those of us who are not only part of The One, but are also Fukei (SG fans), we miss Su-chan, Yui-chan, and Moa-chan. As every public appearance we've ever seen of the three girls since their SG graduations has always been only as the BM persona. Images and news of them in the wild are extremely rare (I don't think I've ever seen or heard of anything about them). Amuse protects them very well to keep a separation between them and the fans, no direct contact, ever. Especially at their young age when they first started. But we still love them, and do tend to be a little bit overprotective of them.

I appreciate you taking the time to watch this history. It is very informative and they, as a whole, have had a huge impact on the Metal scene...even though a large number of "purists" still refuse to give them credit. I have been into Metal since the early 70's (I will turn 59 in a couple days), and nothing in my past experience has matched what they do. Props to you and have a Happy New Year!

Don't feel anything much for metal. Don't feel anything but bored from Jpop. -----------------But have been a mad fan of Babymetal since first hearing the opening of "Chocolate"------- The explanation ??-------------------pure MAGIC of the 3 girls. (plus Kami).

Happy to support and be a sub. Fans and supporters of Babymetal will always have my support. And as someone else has mentioned, it's understandable when we get a little testy, when someone just slags off on the girls and Babymetal in general. They werent just served all the money they wanted and a place on the biggest stages from the get go. One of the main reasons why they are now my favourite band (apart from the brilliant music) is how humble and appreciative they have remained even with all their success. Theres a like 10 minutes video on RU-vid called "why I as a Japanese love Babymetal ". They are always very respectful and polite, they never talk on top of each other, they politely listen, and wait their turn, and are always quick to thank and credit their fans and their entire team for their continued growth and success. In a business where ego takes up much space and everything is pretty cut throat, I simply can not think these girls and the people around them are anything but good people, and deserving of every good thing that comes their way. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

There can never be a substitute for YUI, however !----The true Babymetal ended with the departure of YUI. Raw tomatoes are awesome, expecially mature and fresh one just picked up from the plant :D ANd Italy we often eat them with our salad. And you never had Caprese? Great stuff. I was lucky enough to have seen them at Sonisphere. They were excellent. Seen them another 4 times since & they just keep getting better. Their story is awesome. There are other guides but this is the best & most up to date. 🦊👍

I believe Moa and Yui were already best friends even before they joined SG. Their relationship is really cute and I recommend you watch this simple tribute video made for them. You can search for Moa and Yui Growing up tribute. It's very heartwarming to watch. And a bit sad because Yui is no longer with BM.

Regarding their work ethic; another reactor who taught English in the Japanese school system was highly impressed the girls had the time & energy to rehearse because of the time Japanese devote to school. School is for about six and a half hours every day from Monday to Friday. However, most kids also attend after-school clubs, and many also go to juku (cram school) in the evening to do extra studying. Also, Japan is on a trimester system, with breaks between each trimester, so the school year runs April through March. While still in school Su-metal was asked about this by Rolling Stone Japan: RSJ: "What’s a typical day of rehearsal like?" Su-Metal: "As you know, we have to go to school, so we can only practice after school. So, we do about four hours after." That's real commitment & work ethic! Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult

I first heard about Babymetal when they performed with Halford at the APMAs. It didn't make much of an impression on me then, but when I started looking for new music in 2020 during lockdown, Babymetal was part of the pack that I found after starting with BAND-MAID. I started listening to Asterism, Babymetal, LOVEBITES, Wagakki Band, and Unlucky Morpheus probably all within a week of each other. Just like Koba thought metal needed an injection of youth, my music needed an injection of new artists. I'm glad Babymetal was an early part of that.

I have this feeling of pride as well, and I find it strange that I do. Why would I be proud of someone I don‘t really know and who is not even aware of my existence? It‘s one of the mysteries of what BABYMETAL are doing to my emotional world. They are evoking so many feelings inside me that they shouldn‘t be able to. And I don‘t know how they are doing it, but I love it.

One thing I have learned watching various reactors watch this video is that eating raw tomatoes isn't as common as I thought. I think because tomato juice is sold in every store and tomato soup is popular I just assumed eating raw tomatoes was something people did, but I've seen enough skepticism that I've come to believe that my lifelong assumption isn't correct. I eat a raw tomato as a side to my lunch very often and I drink tomato juice often as well.

This is a great BM history so well done to the girls for all the hard work and also well done to CrypticMisery for all the work. I find the history difficult to watch with SG disbanded, Yui in limbo, Mikio gone (RIP) and BM themselves on a hiatus after the "Stairway, The One" video. There will surely be changes to BM when the next chapter starts so I'm anxious to see what they do. What I get from the video after Yui left is that Koba threw in a lot of production and stage craft to fill the gap; more dancers and spectacle and then came to the Avengers idea. But for me it never really worked because although BM have great stage shows they are essentially about the personality and performance skills of the girls (and the Kamis) and BM has never had either the vision, courage or desire to really replace Yui. One of the Avengers could have grown into a permanent 3rd member if Koba had allowed it to happen. So with BM as Su and Moa and with Yui still under contract to Amuse there is still speculation. Yui's Amuse webpage is a moribund time portal back to something like 2015, which is sad.

When you said promoter, it reminded me of the Download festival in the UK, here is what the promoter of that festival tweeted in 2014: "There's a time & a place for Baby Metal. Each to their own but Download Festival is not it" ", it's a no from me…another Japanese novelty fad. It works in their homeland & I have big respect for that" "For all the wrong reasons, like they did for PSY" What happened after ? In 2015 Dragonforce invited Babymetal to perform on stage with them. Which was greatly appreciated by the Download festival goers and created a whole bunch of buzz. In 2016 Babymetal was officially invited and performed on the mainstage in front of 80, maybe 90 000 people, some estamated 100 000 people. Which was kind of surprising because it rained to hard before Babymetal's set lots of bands who played at the festival had to delay their performance. On the Babymetal stage everything, instruments, speakers, etc. got covered in plastic. Then when the rain got less the stage was swept so the girls could dance on stage and they performed their set. During that rain, the audience stayed. In 2018 Babymetal performed at Download again on the mainstage I think this year at a different UK festival BMTH will be performing as the headliner for the first time. And Babymetal ends up performing always shortly before BMTH, so they might also be moved up the bill, we'll see.
