Heavenly voices. I love all their music, but Su-Metal vocal range is unworldly. ❤️🦊

⚡ 💕 / 🌅 This is Su-metal, Moametal and one of the three avengers, Momoko Okazaki in 2021. Momoko became Momometal in April of 2023. Sometimes fans like to unofficially add a "metal" suffix to the supporting dancers names, but that's not something the BABYMETAL team do officially. Of course their producer is Kobametal, or just Koba (Kei Kobayashi), and their choreographer is Mikikometal (Mikiko Mizuno). Many of the songwriters also have "metal" added to their names, like TSUBOMETAL (Tatsuya Tsubono) and NARAMETAL (Nobuki Narasaki).

Great reaction. Su's vocals in this are so pure. As you thought, that was Momoko in her Avenger role. She first appeared as an Avenger (as did Riho and Kano) in 2019. Momoko was the only Avenger after about March or April 2020, so she did all ten of the Budokan 2021 concerts. She was an Avenger for 4 years before being revealed as the third member last April. Su and Moa only did the Legend S concerts in December 2017 as just the two of them as Yui had to withdraw at the last minute. Throughout the 2018 tour Su and Moa were supported by two dancers (nick named Muscle Metal by the fans) and at the end of October 2018, just after Yui announced she had decided to leave, they played the Dark Night Carnival concerts supported by 5 dancers (the 2 Muscle Metal girls plus another 3) making up the Chosen 7 ... that was part of the 2018 dark side lore. For the last shows of 2018 one of those 5 dancers, Saya, danced in the third spot vacated by Yui. The Avengers were announced at the start of the 2019 tour. 'From Dusk Till Dawn' was on the international release of the second album in 2016 (the Japanese release had 'Syncopation' instead - a very different but equally great song). They had only played 'From Dusk Till Dawn' live one time - that was in 2017 at the Hollywood Palladium. The concert was being filmed but there was some sort of copyright dispute or something, so that film was never released. All we had of that one live performance were fancam videos. When they were having the fans vote on the 10 songs that would go on the 10 BABYMETAL Years album the fans campaigned for 'From Dusk Till Dawn to be included. It was not on the album, but they did finally play it live at two of the Budokan shows, so we finally got to see a live recording on BluRay.

Awesome! I love this performance and song. On my first listen, I mistaken Su’s angelic voice for keyboard, since it was so high in the register lol. Also, your comment on the change up, 100%. The lights and visuals accompanies the music so well. The twilight of dusk descends into the dark of night, before blossoming into a grandiose golden dawn….just like the title says 🤣👌. Great reaction, thanks! That "EDM" genre you was looking for is called dream trance. 😊 And yes, this is a rare mix between dream trance and metal. The song also has a rare live performance history (already explained) and that also sums for me. Statistical oddities lover here. Su starts the song using falsetto which is incredible and not the first time we hear her using that technique. But then, she belts those crazy notes and it's even better. The Budokan 2021 shows are among my favorite visually because of the stage setup, the lights and laser show, pyro, etc. 🤘🦊

FDTD was the exclusive track on the international edition of Metal Resistance, whereas the Japanese edition got Syncopation. Koba said that he felt that Syncopation was "too Japanese" for international audiences, so he put FDTD on instead. In hindsight, it's kind of funny because Syncopation is a much loved fan favourite song and FDTD is a bit of a sleeper. Although the song is entirely in English (being for the international audience), there are no official lyrics, and no-one can agree what the actual lyrics are. It has only ever performed live three times, once in LA at the Hollywood Palladium in 2017, and twice at 10 Babymetal Budokan.

Great reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Moa has a great singing voice and has had some solos. She covered "Love Machine" at the Legend 1999 concert. Performed "GJ!" and "Onedari Daiskusen" at the Budokan 2021 shows (these were originally duets that she performed with Yui, along with "4 No Uta\Song 4" and "Sis. Anger" ) and at the Legend M Apocrypha XX show (her 20th birthday party) she sings lead for the second half of "Headbangeeer!!!!" (dubbed by fans as Moabanger). All can be found on YT. Do recommend reacting to the regular version of Headbangeeer!!! first though. The Legend 1997 performance seems to be the preferred.
