Now, u guys have to react to Babymetal Death at the same concert (legend 1997)! It's the most epic and iconic moment from them!

I'm 47 and discovered them early last year, my wife and I saw them back to back in Houston then Dallas in August and it was incredible! You don't get all the bells and whistles of the high production stages and stuff but the tradeoff is you can see them up close. We were maybe 7 feet from the stage in Dallas and the amount of personal crowd interaction they do now is insane! They make you really feel like part of it which is a very cool thing. Also, I learned no amount of video watching could prepare me for how powerful their stage presence really is, and how tight and quick and mesmerizing the synchronized dancing looks.. they are absolutely awesome!!

I saw them in the Madrid concert, past Dec 11th... being how it was the last concert of the season and they could be weary after 90+ shows all over the world, they gave all the best they have in energy (those epic Moa headbangs!), rhythm and friendliness towards the public. I'll attend every other show of theirs that I can 🙂

Hell yeah! Great song and great reaction. Dec 2013, this was Su’s 16th birthday, Moa & Yui are 14. Here’s a quick timeline brief to clear up any confusions: *2010:* Formation - Su, Moa, and Yui. *2017 (Late):* Yui stops performing due to health. *2018 (Jan):* Mikio Fujioka (guitar) passes away due to accident. *2018:* The Chosen 7 - Su and Moa joined by 2, then later 5 backup dancers as they figure out what to do while Yui is recuperating. *2018 (Oct):* Yui announces her official departure. *2019:* Su and Moa joined by 3 backup dancers, “Avengers”, rotating into Yui’s old spot (1 of them being Momoko). Kami band West introduced to assist with Babymetal’s increased touring. *2020:* COVID-19, Babymetal stops live shows. 2 of 3 Avengers moves on to do their own solo projects, leaving Momoko as the sole “Avenger”. *2021:* “10 Babymetal Budokan” shows held to commemorate Babymetal’s 10 years, then they go on hiatus. *2022:* Babymetal returns with new singles. *2023:* Babymetal resumes touring. Kami Band West becomes primary backing band. 4th album release. *2023 Apr:* Momoko made official 3rd member as Momometal. Great reaction. Legend 1997 was Su-metal's 16th birthday party. Yui and Moa were both 14. Yui last performed in October 2017, she left the band in October 2018 stating that she was still not fully recovered from whatever was wrong that had prevented her performing. Momometal supported Su and Moa as a dancer from 2019. She was revealed as the official third member on 1st April 2023. 'Headbanger' is a song about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. 15 is significant in Japan as that is when compulsory education ends, so the girl is also realising she will never be treated as a child again and her first 15 years passed so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. There are some very special live performances of 'Headbanger' ... at their Legend I concert in October 2012 the Kami Band made their very first appearance playing this song. At Legend D on Su's 15th birthday and again at the start of Legend 1997 they performed a dance remix of 'Headbanger' (the Night of 15 Re-Mix). I think you would find that interesting - look for 'BABYMETAL Ava Maria' to get the full opening ceremony for the concert along with the dance remix. At concerts in 2014 in concerts on or near their own 15th birthdays Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for the second half of the song after Su handed them the mic and stand - she took their place in the choreo. Sadly we only have fancam videos of these two performances. The same thing happened in 2019 at the Legend M concert celebrating Moa's 20th birthday (with a change of lyric to "this special night of my 20th") since 20 is also the official age of majority in Japan.

Great reaction, thanks! "Headbanger" or more properly "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" or "ヘドバンギャー! !" (Hedobangyā!!) is an early hit and a very special song for them since they used it in different ways for special moments like birthday related shows, with Moa and Yui at the time taking the lead vocals for the second half of the song. And we expect the same happen during Legend-MM shows held to celebrate Momometal's 21st birthday next March 2nd and 3rd. This performance is impressive and not only because of the girls and the Kami Band skills and precision (it's actually their thing) but also because of the crowd interaction, as you perfectly noticed. They are black belt in crowd control and that makes their live performances really amazing. 🤘🦊

Great reaction, guys. Even if you only get to see them in a smaller venue, as mentioned in other comments, the up close interaction is if you are lucky enough, it is so memorable. Great reaction guys, you were almost there with members and the current setup. Yuimetal left in 2018 due to health reasons, then we had a rotation of 3 dancers to stand Momoko, Riho and Kano. In April 2023 Momoko was announced as a full member Momometal. A fun reaction guys. And yeah, Yui last performed in 2017 and left for still undisclosed health reasons. Later on-at least to me-I heard that her dream was to pursue a solo career. But as best I can tell she has remained pretty much under anybodies public radar. Babymetal's management group has always paid paid incredible diligence to the ladies privacy and personal lives. Everything they do publicly is always under the guise of Babymetal. Even to wearing their on-stage battle gear to interviews. They have no personal accounts of anytime. I like to believe that this allows these extremely popular-still young-performers the ability to carry on a semblance of a private, personal life when off stage. Just one more way everything connected to Babymetal has been overseen in minute detail. Again loving your reactions guys. Nice reaction and yes, this song holds up until this day. I was lucky enough to witness its performance last year and it was just as insane as it was back then. Momo-metal became an official member on April 2nd last year after supporting Babymetal as an Avenger (backup dancer, no vocals) since 2019. There were two other Avengers but they either signed with other companies and had their own projects going, so they were limited in time. Momoko supported Babymetal for more than 30 shows and deserved the spot more than anyone else. ❤ Next “Ijima, Dame, Zettai” live at Sonisphere 2014, please.
