I keep coming back to this version of Karate because of how inspired it is for Babymetal to do this with Metalverse. A song about conquering your inner daemons, one of those daemons is your youth and I think Babymetal is remembering that and that memory is what Metalverse is portraying. Su is a monster here with her vocals and that last "Hashire!", that's like she's casting out the daemons of everyone who hears her words, so amazing. I have a quote tattooed on my arm, "Destroy your personal demons, use their corpses as fuel to light your way", and feel like I need to work Hashire! into a new tat
That last note is still my favorite of Su's, damn she just crushes it. Also, I have a new dream job to be the dude that flies the drone at Babymetal shows lol
Yeah 😅, she pushed it, released her wall of sound, and sometimes it's hard to realize how thick and rich her voice is, with this comparison, you can tell 🤩! 🤘🦊⚡️
I think this performance showcases perfectly the difference between a beginer and an experienced vocalist. The girl from Metalverse has a really nice voice and I definetely see the potential in her, but compared to Su, Su's voice singing sound more mature, stable and just overall has a better flow. I'm sure that with a lot of training and practice Metalverse will be able to improve into a great band
The song that brought me into the BABYMETAL world. That extended video gets me a little emotional because it flashes back into the past eras, all through the hardships they’ve faced. Yet they’ve dusted themselves off and decided to come back better than ever. I can watch this over and over again.
This song gets me, always will. While I am proud to say that the European crowds rose to the occasion on the current world tour and gave our girls the welcome they deserve, the setting here is insane. Thank you for sharing!
Haha, sadly, this video leaves out the introductory story from the Blu-Ray. Before the actual song, the stage plays a video talking about how BABYMETAL discovers "three new life forms" from the METALVERSE. Or something like that. So then you get better context when the actual song begins... 🦊🦊🦊
@@starkokachian The girls in red are "metalverse", a new band created a few months ago by the same label which aims at recreating what BABYMETAL was at their beginning. Basically they are (lore wise) a different version of BABYMETAL from a parallel universe. We don't really have a lot of information on these girls for now since they have barely done any public appearance, so we can just imagine how this thing will evolve.
I find myself that I can't stop listening to BabyMetal I'll listen to some other groups for maybe a day then find myself listening to everything BabyMetal has on Spotify,
When the Metalverse girl started singing I was like, "wow, she's good. Maybe even give Su a run for her money." Then Su started singing and I was like, "nope, not even close."
Miko's a great singer, but I just don't feel like metal should be her thing. Her SG solo song was arguably better than Su's, but it was a soft Christmas song.
Right?? I don’t know what it is. But I was feeling emotional then during the break with the video playing on the screen ….. I lost it and just started crying
I couldn’t agree more, and in today’s day and age where the majority of acts lip sync their own songs (and even fake their guitars) it only separates our Queen even further from the pack.
Personally, I still think Download is the definitive video for this song due to the call and response interaction with the audience. But with that being said, omg this is a great performance.
Classic BABYMETAL song/message....Miko sounds stellar here, and it's amazing how grown up Sakia is.....I remember when she joined SG and she was just so tiny.....sigh
Wow, fantastic performance of an already perfect song. I saw them in Boston, Ma.,but I would really like to see them in Japan. Babymetal never disappoints. Another great upload. ❤
You have to hand it to Koba, this is a pretty ingenious concept. They did this both nights at the Black Night/Clear Night shows, but I don’t think they’ve played this since. Which is understandable since they’ve done it at pretty much every show over the past several years.
They're just boosting Metalverse popularity this way. Honestly, Metalverse is too JPop for me. I don't think I'll be interested in this kind of music. Still, Babymetal is heavier.
Hello. Is the "as played live" order of the songs the same as you have been releasing? If not, is it possible for you to order your PIA Arena playlist in the order the songs performed?
Babymetal always sing live at their shows. But when the show is recorded on Blu-ray, the sound is corrected. If you listen to any fancam, you will hear how the girls actually sing. Very good, but not as perfect as on Blu-ray. And that's ok. because they also dance. It is quite difficult to sing during dance.
@@forthefoxgod7275 yeah I don’t know anything about Metalverse but in clips of this specific concert I see the comment section talk about some sort of lore between them and Babymetal
this is a related project, like Babymetal, but compared to Babymetal it is closer to JPOP. It's obvious that Metalverse is aimed at Japanese audiences.
Wtf, do they try to leech off Babymetal? I think it's kinda unfair to girls, of course they got help from Koba, Kami band and other staff, but still they ground their way through and now they should advertise "copy past" band which was even presented as Babymetal from parallel universe ?!
Apparently Metalverse is also owned by Amuse Inc. They're just trying to promote their new project. Most likely it's just business. I don't think the Metalverse is trying to make a copy of Babymetal. Judging by their music, they are more focused on JPop, and more classical idol music, and therefore the Japanese scene.
The only thing gayer than this would be going on tour with Taylor Swift. Maybe Travis Kelce can be security and hand out free vaccine shots. This is not metal at all but it definitely is for babies.
I posted statistics here somewhere. Most Babymetal fans are between 20 and 40 years old. Only 2% of viewers are under 18. Babymetal have toured with Metallica, Sabbaton, Dethklok, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. They performed together with many bands. For example Dragonforce.
its called Babymetal not because its for babies (its for everyone). BABYmetal because these girls was 11-13yo when Babymetal was formed. They was babies. Thats why Babymetal.
@@forthefoxgod7275 Not even close to accurate. It's the kind of stuff that would be played on normal rock radio. If you want to call it hard rock then that's fine. It's not metal.
@@forthefoxgod7275 Ok, none of that makes them a metal band. Snoop Dogg toured with Korn one tour. Is he now metal? Also I don't really consider Korn metal either, they are more hard rock too. This is nonsense. Just because a band plays the same stage with another band does not mean they are the same music. The only band listed that is close to metal is dethklok and I wouldn't even say they are metal. The age of their fans is irrelevant to my point also. Metal is stuff like Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Metal Church, old Sepultura, Toxic Holocaust. This is new era cock rock. It's like saying Spiritbox is metal. Non sense.
