Welcome back to the Foxhole, no rabbit here.🦊🤘🔥 This is one of the song we usually recommend the official MV for first time watching and experience some cool details on this song, after that any live performance is fine to feel and enjoy the crowd participation and what these amazing girls can do on stage. Totally agree with your last train of thought, they're no joke on what they do but certainly they got some fun and happy metal vibes like no other bands, the only joke you can find in this group is the pun intended play on words on certain songs and even the BabyMetal title, but despite that fact they take very seriously what they do when making songs and the best top notch live shows around the world. Next suggestion: - Smoke, Dame, Zettai 🦊🤘🚭 Sorry, is "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, a turning point in their careers they will never forget. See you next time.
I definitely got you covered baby metal is being requested a lot so it’ll be the perks song this coming Tuesday, July 9. I’m sorry about the long wait but like I said a lot of requests are coming in for baby metal on great band. I really enjoy it and thank you for requesting and I will get it up as soon as possible.🤘😎👍
Good one! As with most bands getting off the ground, Babymetal has their “gimmick” earlier on, in the same vein as KISS, Slipknot, GWAR. Most folks got past that to appreciate their true talent, and the haters stayed on that point, lol. But, proof is in the pudding, after 14 years of growth, there’s way more to Babymetal’s skills and work ethic! 🤘🦊
Good one, thanks! "Megitsune" is one of their most loved songs and their most played live one: 352 times... and counting! It was released in June 2013. It's crazy that it's been 11 years since then! The style sub-genre is based on electronicore, a mix between electronica and metalcore, with a hardcore style breakdown. The word "Megitsune" = "me" + "kitsune" which means female + fox so, vixen. Hence the fox mask play during the breakdown. In Japanese folklore, the "kitsune" is an entity capable to transfigure into a human form (mainly into a young lady) with the objective to deceive men and cause them pain. So, they sing that they aren't "kitsunes" but "megitsunes", "pure-hearted maiden-like female foxes", as the lyrics say. It's basically a women empowerment song. BABYMETAL fans are known collectively as "The ONE" and "kitsune" / "megitsune" individually. So, you can tell this song is important! It took 36 demos to Takehiro Mamiya best known as Yuyoyuppe (or Yuppemetal), the song's arranger, until Kobametal (their producer) was 100% happy with the final result. It may sound crazy but this is why "Megitsune" is one of their best songs (if not the best). And you are right, they're not a joke because they took very seriously what they do as the huge professionals they are. 🤘🦊
Good one, thanks for doing that, I love this performance ... and the official video (from 2013) is a really good one as well. 'Megitsune' is one of the most popular songs and it is the song they have played live more than any other. I think it represents who and what they are as well as or better than any of their songs. It is a bit of a push back against the traditional subservient female role in Japanese society saying that is changing I think - or maybe it is - whilst also praising and celebrating the women who have played that role over the years for their strength. They are saying that women wearing their make up and hiding their true feelings ("crying at heart, smiling at face") are not trying to deceive anybody, they are simply trying to please everybody - so they are not deceptive kitsune (foxes), they are maiden-like megitsune (female foxes or vixens) - and they are strong. The melody used in the intro and in the breakdown in the middle of the song is from the very well known Japanese folk song called 'Sakura Sakura' (Cherry Blossoms). When Su spoke a few words and did a high kick she said "Otome wa ... nametara ikan zeyo." (Maidens ... shouldn't be underestimated). The last part of this is a famous quote from a Japanese gangster movie said by the daughter of a gang boss. Anybody thinking BABYMETAL are some sort of joke has been living under a rock (or in their parents' basement) for over 10 years. They have proved that is just ignorance and completely wrong every time they've stepped onto a stage.
@@euthehiro i’ll be giving her a happy birthday on today’s request for baby metal but thank you. A few of you have let me know that it’s her birthday so I really appreciate the nice little info tips like that. Really helps to get more information out about the band to the people that are just getting introduced to it, like me👍😎👍
Good reaction & more pls :) If you want to see more of the band then you may have to look at some older stuff (before they stuck masks on them - which I suspect may have had to do with using Westerners in their band at times - but what do I know?) - they get a lot of space too - but anything BM is fine :D
Babymetal get disrespected because they don't look how a metal band is "supposed" to look, and they don't act like a metal band is "supposed" to act. Because they are different, and because metal fans are pretty narrow minded about what metal is supposed to be, they have had to fight tooth and nail for every bit of respect that they have earned over the years.
Not really. That is so 2015. Most people are now yeah Babymetal is cool. So many other bands are now doing some of the things Babymetal does. I mean except for the 5 people who pretend to like Death Metal. And who cares about them?
👍 👍 Just to let you know: I was unaware of your BABYMETAL reactions because like many when I do a search I type "BABYMETAL reaction" so if you do not have the word "Reaction" on your thumbnail you are likely missed by many potential viewers. Because I simply typed "BABYMETAL" this time your reaction appeared. Good luck!
They are no longer thought of as a joke but are instead highly respected in not just the metal scene (by Metallica, Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Etc.) but also the entertainment world in general. So it is time for people to put that tired old shtick to rest. Only the few haters out there bring it up any longer.
Thank you for letting me know that and I’m glad you found me. I hope you enjoy my reactions. I know I’m a little bit different than the other channels, but that’s kind of what I aimed for.😎👍
